My playthrough of Heart of the Swarm, commented this time and in 1080p. I do my best to either get all the achievements or explain how to get them on a lower difficulty.

I really like this mission. Having to send waves after waves of units at a giant entranched position really feels like the Swarm for once. Warfield also does way better than on the last mission. He now uses all his troops, try to drop in your base, clear the creep effectively, and repair/reinforce the fortresse at the end when you're close to breaching it. Quite sad he had to die in the end, he could've been better used later on.

26:05 That line doesn't really make sense unless the player goes to Zerus before Char and has Kerrigan transformed back into a mostly-Zerg being.

in the first Kaldir mission the protoss says something different depending on if you went to zerus first.

I started a new play-through to change up the dialogue that was the other alternative change, I went to char after destroying the cannon and took Zagara with me to Kaldir for the additional dialogue.

so i just noticed that warfields lines thru this mission in total kinda miss if you didnt go to zerus first. atleast thats my read on the "we saved you how could you return to...this" and "you gave up your humanity for this? to kill more people" etc as if kerrigan had already been to zerus and metamorphed back into proper queen of blades.

I guess the implication is that abathur either thinks humans are an evolutionary dead end or not worth learning from. Regardless thanks for this LP. II've never seen a RTS game be played before.

What kind upgrades(mutations) for aberrations? And why r there so few units in eco pit to upgrade?

this was around the time i got sick as well, everyone at my work was sick and so was my dentist, i guess its flu season, Nooooo Warfield, well both Duke and Watfield were part of the Confederacy, its just that i think either before or after Tarsonis happened, Warfield saw that they were done for and joined up with the Dominion, Warfield was on more friendlier terms with Mengsk than Duke

In her defense on this one, keep in mind she still thinks Raynor is dead, by Dominion hands. In her mind, as a representative of the Dominion, Warfield's every bit as guilty for Raynor's death as Mengsk and the one who pulled the trigger. And he just tried to guilt-trip her using "what would Raynor think"? Even if the person you're talking to *WASN'T* a dangerously emotionally unstable psychic of immense power, that's a *really* stupid move.

This kind of scenario I think could have been better handled with some kind of choice system,it probably wouldn't have made a lick of difference in the long run. But Warfield had two metal bar lodged deep within his torso and would probably have bled out anyway. Also it's not just Warfield, it's also Fenix, and the UED, who she just murdered for sport. You can make the argument that back then she was under some kind of influence, but we clearly see in the prologue of this game that when she controls the Zerg she enters a bloodthirsty state, who's to say it's different back then?

I think it's pretty definitively confirmed that yes, she was under *very* heavy influence back then. The old Queen of Blades would never extend *half* the mercy that Kerrigan does here. Letting Warfield's troops go? Oh hell no. And later on, when she agrees to land further from her objective to minimize civilian casualties? Fuck that, Queen of Blades would've landed her troops smack dab in the middle of it all and used those civilians AGAINST Mengsk's forces. Half of the entire point of the early game, and then Kerrigan's development as a character, is that yes, she WAS under influence before, and now she is not, and is free to make her own decisions. Yes, she's still the leader of the Zerg, but she's no longer the Queen Bitch of the Universe.

Yeah she is definitely a psycho bitch. Don’t get me wrong she has to kill méngsk, but she almost never cares about the number of casualties. Kerrigan is a somewhat necessary evil

ThePyrusKnight they actually mention experiments with humans (which kerrigan forbids) and in a QandA a writer mentioned abathur has some bit of human in him (didn't mention how much)
