28:38 Hero SCV kills a Goliath with help from a Siege Tank blast. Just wanted folks to recognize the hero SCV, getting in there on a Goliath despite being massively outgunned and outarmored and *winning*. Yeah, the Siege Tank helped, but really in your heart you know it was the SCV.

The 500 damage or 2/3 HP is the same as a vanilla nuke, but they do seem to come down faster. Also that firebat was the real MVP of this mission

So interesting thing about the Graff Zeppelin, the name of the ship is in reference to a German carrier that never reached service. The free wraith may be in reference to the recent uses of the ship in games are carriers with heavy guns.

Always happy to know my guide is helpful! I try to keep it updated, but sometimes I lose motivation, or some changes sometimes slip past me. I leave it open to comments and suggestions, in case someone spots something that was changed that I didn't account for. it appears the Ion Cannon's projectile has been changed since I last looked at it, it looks like it's a Yamato Cannon-looking shot now, that doesn't track the target. Previously, it used a simple battlecruiser-style Laser attack that would track the target, and deal splash damage around it. Now, it appears possible to dodge the blast it you keep the air unit moving. It also appears to have a maximum range just shy of your base; I did a quick test with Black Sheep Wall, which allows the Ion Cannon to attack anywhere on the map to confirm this. (Note, the reason Black Sheep Wall does this is because the Ion Cannon *can* attack targets all across the map, but it does not share vision with other AI players, and only has map revealers showing it areas of open space.) Also, I love your reaction to reading about Graf Zeppelin's ability to spawn wraiths. Also: Yes, your guess in the video as to the Hyperion's location is correct. Had you continued to push into that yellow area in the super-early game, you could have located the Hyperion very, very early. But it sounds like you were leaning heavily toward Graff Zeppelin the instant you read about the wraiths :P

Here's some info on each of potential Raynor's flagships namesake: - Hyperion: canon Raynor's flagship - Norad II: my suggestion to Nekron was accompanied by the note "Well, they started using Norad number three for some reason, right?" (yes I remember that canonically its the same ship) - Leviathan: the name of Mengsk's flagship from beta version of SC - Bismarck: first of the Bismarck-class battleships of Germany (second being the Tirpitz), comissioned in 1939, sunk in 1941 - was scuttled by its own crew after being critically damaged in a three-day battle against a British fleet. Was equipped with impressive close-range secondary battery, and her sistership, the Tirpitz, was eventually upgraded to carry torpedo launchers. - Graff Zeppelin: German aircraft carrier that entered construction in 1936, but was never brought to fully combat-operational status. Was scuttled in 1945, raised by the Soviets in 1946 and sunk again in 1947 per agreement with the Allies. Featured unusually powerful (for a carrier) secondary armament. - Stalingrad: Soviet heavy cruiser, the first and the last of Project 82 line. Launched in 1954, broken up in 1962. Was designed to hunt light cruisers, and as such featured powerful 305-mm and was able to reach speeds up to 35 knots.

@@UEDAIP That is correct, in-universe the Bismarck was a battlecruiser in service of Alpha Squadron during the early Dominion. She was destroyed by the Protoss during the battle of Bekhar Ro.

I wish there was a battle cruiser with higher armor and speed but it’s attack is a very short ranged shotgun blast. That or replace the shotgun with giant flamethrowers and make a flying Firebat, call it the “Boritino” in reference to Jay and the IRL TOS-1.

It sounds like you want the Bismarck. Short-ranged explosive AoE attack. It just has a long ranged attack as well, so you gotta micro for it to use the short-ranged attack.

So I just finished up this map last night. Decided WTH why not and reran it from a save point to use all battle cruisers. I was torn between the Stalingrad and Graf Zeppelin. 😅 free wraiths was nice but cluster obliteration was nice too. Keeping the Graf though to use wraiths to divert attacks away. Also Zerg Campaign i believe is ready to roll as I got the campaign yesterday.

Makes me wonder if the BC shoot at your own depots or flying barrack and you keep repair those building does it mean unlimited free Wraith?

Or shoot your own bio units while they get healed by the barracks, even more free wraiths. I also see the ship as a fallback of sorts since it gives players an option to bounce back with the spawned wraiths at least in my opinion

Worth noting, Nekron has indicated that there may be a way to remove that "cheat" in the near future without removing the ability entirely, so that the Wraith will only spawn from attacking enemies. This may also come with buffs to the Graff Zeppelin, as Nekron was well aware of the cheese potential when balancing the unit. Now that the cheese can be removed, though, he doesn't need to hinder it to compensate.

The MEGA has a folder called "vanilla" with the mod file for base SC1 and all the missions for the Terran and Zerg Campaigns

Note, while the Brood War campaigns are played via the traditional campaign menu, the Vanilla campaigns are still WIP, and are played through the custom game menu; the maps must be moved from the download folder to the maps folder. They will be integrated into the .exe like the Brood War maps once Episode 3 is completed.
