Great weather, great food, great drinks, and great vibes. Last time I was in SD i stayed at an Airbnb but walked the lobbies of the Marriot Marquis and Grand Hyatt. Think I will try one of those two next time.

I just stayed at the Hilton Bayfront a few weeks back when my family visited. My brother proposed to his fiance there in the lawn area to the left. Great location and great views. Walking distance to Sea Port Village too. Love your videos. I watched a ton when my planning my move to SD.

Maybe that comment was made during more pandemic times. I remember a few hotels requiring reservations to use the pool but things seem back to normal business at the pool there

Great video! Lots of options. I came down for the Super bowl / valentines day and stayed at the Intercontinental. Didn't make the list?!?! I thought it was phenomenal. Floor to ceiling windows that faced the USS Midway, was pricey though

Thank you for this, Jay! Very helpful for my August 2022 visit. BUT, I didn't see my hotel featured- the Comfort Inn & Suites, Gaslight District! Free continental breakfast!! Funny, I know, but hey whatever $ I save will be spent on local food & drinks!

My husband and I stayed at the Marriott Marquis for a week before our flight back home to Maui, October 2022. Love this location coz we walked to the Gaslamp District and Seaport Village. We enjoyed the M Lounge every day and the bar. We love Coronado Island!

Just came back from san diego. I stayed at Legacy Resort it was amazing! Def reccmend to anyone looking for a nice and modern hotel without breaking your budget. Only downside it is located in Mission Valley so need to uber everywhere.

@@Jaycation Yes! Came out to only about $300 for 6 days! Much cheaper than ubers in LA. Car rental was about $300-$400+gas+parking over 6 days

Cheap one with view of the bayr is Best Western motel but doesn't feel like motel and great free breakfast. And walking distance to the midway aircraft carrier. Since this motel is cheap and great view you gotta find a reserve date because of fast filling up reservations.

Sally’s Fish House & Bar looks fabulous. All that fresh catch fish dishes! Never went to any of the places you featured in this vlog when I was in San Diego in 2009ish. I don’t know why I never knew about them or if they were there, Jaycation!

Hey Jay - so I have a few comments Ill just throw them all in this one instead of on separate videos - 1 What do you think of the Hard Rock in San Diego, I was surprised to not see it in the time stamp list ? 2 I started watching these type of videos to check out the Vegas Casinos and more specifically the SportsBooks, so could you possibly try to show the sportsbooks when you do the Casino tours ? 3 The only Vegas Casino I never see get a good tour on KZbin is the JW Marriot/Rampart, it looks super nice so hopefully you can do that one, and finally 4 Now that Sports Betting has been legalized in a few states can you do some videos of the nicer Sports Books in the Arizona Casinos, I always hear they are new and nice, nobody else on KZbin has done them yet so if you could be the first that would be awesome - Thanks again Love the channel so far

I don’t know if it’s still there but I had many of fine dinners at University Club atop Symphony Towers in downtown Gaslamp. The food was very good and I even took a date there one night for a wine dinner.

Was going to other Gaslamp establishments too like La Puerta, this oyster bar near La Puerta but don’t remember ordering wine. This could also be a best hotels for SDCC list. Last time I went, I got lucky and scored a downtown hotel (SpringHill Suites Downtown/Bayfront) for the first time and it made such a big difference in getting to the convention center.

Any hotel on shelter island is really nice! I would do sea world or the Zoo instead of Lego land. Belmont park in mission beach is always fun. And a day in La Jolla is a must!

I'm not gonna lie I live in Chula Vista and went to the bay front to see the new development progress and not much had changed except the water has receded badly and there's trash everywhere It's pathetic... I'm not against the new changes but man I hate seeing so much pollution and littering because I know it hurts the wildlife
