I love how Aaron through a little kiddy fit just cause he couldn't have a doggie. It's was soooo cute. Watching these early episodes really shows that Danny Miller is a very good actor.

Edna sure changes her attitude towards Aaron later on . She choose to tell him her deepest darkest secret. the most awful thing she ever did. I bet she never shared that with any priest Or vicar at confession .

Claire Lally, I just now say your question .Long after Edna finds out that Aaron is gay and she starts respecting him she tells him what she did . She was married but her husband was not in love with her . he was in love with Lawrence White . Because of her Jealousy. She turned the 2 men in for being gay. back then to be a gay man in England was a crime and they put them in prison for it .Experimented on over 50,000 men with what we now call "Conversion Therapy" they were Tortured to try to turn them straight. During WWll the Nazis had convinced other nations that Gay Men were bad . Edna's husband told her that because of what she did ,Lawrence Died in prison. But he didn't. Aaron found Lawrence to tell him that Edna was sorry for what she did . later Lawrence moves to town and buys Home Farm his daughter is Chrissie & Chrissie's Fiancé is Robert .
