@@ryanje8147 it's not to do with the name Mark. To 'make a mark' can mean to leave an impression or to have influence on something. This could be positive, negative or neutral. You could say something like "Donald Trump has made a mark on US politics." or "At the very least, I made my mark in that job." Calling someone a no-mark is saying that they are inconsequential and unimportant.
