I commented this a few weeks ago about Jayden in the pre season. They literally barely called anything that would require him to read things out in the pocket like he would have to do in the regular season. At the same time I sorta always thought he was a more conservative qb that’s gonna miss a bunch of stuff running. He still looks exactly like he did at LSU which is always a good thing. Long as he takes Dan Quinn’s advice and starts throwing on the move he can get to that Jalen Hurts level. Ik the deep shots will come but he needs super clean pockets to throw them. That might be a problem his entire career

Quinn is a defensive guy. All that from two games huh? Got it all figured out. Ever consider they have a plan for his development? You probably should.

@@hermitrob5481 Most of my thoughts were based on his college tape. He looks just like he did in college which is a GREAT thing. His legs and accuracy translate. The efficient nature of his game translates. I think DQ and the rest of want to see that next step. Becoming an aggressive thrower on the move. I also think certain things will sort of stay with a player even as they get better. In the right situation Hurts can be amazing. I’m having some of the same thoughts about Jayden. Just has to go prove it

Hoffman just loses me with his "feet were a mess" "feet were all over the place" "messy footwork" I'm a mechanics expert ridiculousness. Sounds profound to the average listener I spose. "I so used to west coast" 😂 Jayden getting his feet right is the least of our worries. The whole footwork spiel is a cliche at this point.
