JD now has three of the more difficult defenses (Ravens, Steelers, Eagles) to study. The fact that he's going to get 10 days of VR with these looks should help him moving forward (when these other teams attempt to emulate it). Its also a time for Kliff and his staff to shore things up. There's still more to see from the rookie (lets not completely forget that). But the fact that he's "struggling" with a 68% completion rate brings me joy! Consider the Goat's (Tom Brady) career completion percentage against the Giants at 65% (with his highest at 76% with Randy Moss at WR and 7 years already under his belt). Did Tom Brady struggle against the Giants his entire career? I suppose you can say that. Brady's third year in the league, his completion % was a Caleb-ish 38% against the Giants. I'm not in any way comparing JD to TB. I'm just saying that "struggles" are going to happen. Sometimes its the defense/matchup. We'll see. BTW, Brady's career completion percentage against the Dolphins (divisional) was 61% (highest 84% in 2007. The lowest being 37% the year before as a 6 year vet!).

With all due respect, if one of your biggest concerns about JD5 is him not winning ROTY, I have to question what you're in it for. The only hardware that matters in regards to JD5 is him hoisting the Lombardi Trophy. This is what happens when we blow way too much smoke up a rookie's hass in the first few weeks of the year. One of the greatest Washington Super Bowl MVP studs says: "The rabbit always gets caught."
@shanelljones10912 ай бұрын
Sure some ppl may have been blowing smoke but that doesn't take away from how well he started. If you find pessimism in the face of success, then you're not built right. That doesn't mean you won't face obstacles, it just means your confidence is too high to be affected by pitfalls. All QBs go through ups and downs.

Not sure why they have moved away from the uptempo offense b/c it works. It worked on scoring drive and it worked at the end of the game garbage yard drive. Also, the split RB scheme in backfield was working - Eagles were scambling but of course we dropped it and went to the passing game that didn't work. Why press for Robinson to come back only to not use him - he gets better in end of games - we gotta get back to controlling the line of scrimmage and wearing out defenses and keeping them guessing

Doesn’t it seem like JD5 isn’t ever looking at the Surface/iPad when they show him on the sidelines? He’s always just sitting there and it doesn’t seem like there’s a lot of interaction with him and coaches or even other players. Maybe it’s just the timing of the camera shots, IDK. I’m not even saying this means anything, but typically, you see QBs glued to the computer to review previous plays. It even seems more counter given the fact that he uses all the VR technology in his preparation.

Heres my thing, take Lakes opinion on Lattimore in terms on sitting him as long as possible to ensure hes 100% before putting him out there to ensure a healthy stretch towards the playoffs.... Jayden is clearly hurt and in his head because of it. Why dont we apply Lakes same logic to Jayden? Just because hes QB1? Are we doing him more harm than good? We can beat the Cowboys and even the Titans without Jayden. That would give him 3.5 weeks to get right both mentally and physically to be healthy for the end stretch. Call me crazy but use the same logic for every player. Not just a select few.

But could he stay healthy, and I don't think so. He is to skinny he won't make it! Drake Maye 6'3 225 and Bo Nix is 6'5 or 6'6 230 Big Quarterbacks that can take the hits and the pounding of the NFL.
