Great work as always! On the 4th & 6th touchdown, McLaurin said that he was originally supposed to run a slant but told Jayden that if the CB was playing too far inside, he was going to run a fade. That's why the timing was a little off. Jayden was ready to throw a slant but then sees McLaurin breaking for the fade and thats when he resets to throw back shoulder for the touchdown

It's great to hear in all these JD5 breakdowns how well designed the plays are. With all the talk of "college offense" it's gratifying to hear it broken down positively. Haven't been this excited as a Washington fan in forever.
@hermitrob5481Ай бұрын
Lotta college concepts though. They aren't "wrong" per say. Low football IQ just using it as a slight when it's Kliff using outstanding schemes to let Jayden do what he does best.
@SpicyPepperonАй бұрын
Honestly the offense runs smoother when Kliff gets away from his favorites like the screens and swings. Jayden seems most comfortable at this point in classic dropback situations

What’s crazy about the “College Offense” talk is that MAJORITY of teams use them A LOT. Teams are blending College concepts in NFL formations. PROs RPOs Air Raid are staples of top offenses now. Teams will take these Kliff concepts and use/ add them.

The Xs&Os insight into Kliff's play design is WORLD CLASS. The context of where we've been and where we're headed as an organization is crucial to understand. I agree. Week 1, another top WR was on my wish list for next year. But now...This offense is so good, I'd be happier if they primarily focus on the D next year. Noah, LMC, Z and Dyami have proven to make it work opposite of Terry. They block and play well without the ball.
@hermitrob5481Ай бұрын
@@beaudy1012 Agree with all that but I’ll think AP will add another “number one” caliber WR to make it a 1A and 1B situation if the price is tolerable. If not through FA then through the draft. @@enzosly I think it'll be a good game ... I love both QBs (not a Commanders or Bears superfan), but ... for a ton of reasons ... I'd have to think the Commanders have the advantage here. Yes, the Bears can be good against bad defenses, and the Commanders have been inconsistent ... but in terms of design, receiver talent, and o-line talent ... you have to give the Commanders the edge on everything, right? MAYBE receiver talent is a close call (esp. w/ Kmet) ... but the Commanders have the advantage on scheme and o-line talent by a mile.

@@DanielFolsom I def agree on Oline and and play design being better, but I have to push back on the WR talent. Bears WR talent is clearly fantastic. The Bear's defense is even better than the Ravens. Its gonna be a tough matchup for the Commanders.

Thanks again for the great breakdown! When I watched that flea screen and tunnel screen back to back during the live game, I was laughing out loud cause that shit was poetry! Brian Robinson being out greatly impacted our goal line play calls and our run pass ratio. Yes the ravens have a top notch run D, but I think a healthy B Rob changes our play calls. That BS pass interference call when we finally had them stopped on 3rd down at midfield changed the game.
