After that last play, when #94 got stiff armed and only got Jayden's towell, JD apparently cracked up everyone on the field by asking for his towell back and saying " Hey man, this ain't flag football ". Yeah, he's got ice water in his veins when it's go time , but he keeps it loose and just has fun playing the game.

The #0 to Eke throw at 38:00 is just a gorgeous outsider shoulder toss man. He has an innate ability to anticipate the defenders body inercia and use it against them. Catch them leaning the wrong way and make em pay for it. Now if #0 jumps the route? Certainly could turn out badly.

Always appreciate the analysis on 5, the kid is a baller. Because of your pre-draft analysis of his play at LSU, I was very confident in him coming into the league and ecstatic when we took him in the draft. Looking forward to the breakdowns this offseason as this upcoming class feels unpredictable.

I loved your breakdown, as always, but I think you're being harsh, calling that throw at 37:28 "lucky." I don't THINK he would have put that ball where he did if he hadn't seen that edge dropping back to pick him up. Although, he'd obviously need to be asked about it. Thanks for this. Fun to watch. The play at 15:18 is the perfect depiction of the pick-your-poison aspect of Daniels' game. There's no good way to defend that situation. Damned if you don't step up to defend the scramble, but also damned if you do because Jayden keeps his head up so well and can find the late crosser.

Yes. The Jaden haters. Not many of them. Like Nick and a few others. Give him little credit. But then start pointing things bad that happened or could have. Nick amd a couple of others said. If Baker didn't fumble. The game could have been a win for Bucs. In the comments, I remind them of the Ertz pass. That should have been an interference on defense. But it wasn't called. If the defender doesn't dry hump Ertz. That was a TD. If the refs called it correctly. It would be 1st and goal at the 1 yard line.

Don't be afraid to give #23 credit for that coverage on the mesh! That's exactly how you draw it up as a DC. You can see that as he disrupts the crosser, he quickly glances over to check for a crosser coming his way. Fantastic eye discipline from #23. You'd like to see 31 do the same on that play, but he stumbled on the disrupt and couldn't get his eyes right.

I have a couple questions. (play in question: 3rd quarter, 2nd and goal, 10.46 left to go i think) - play BEFORE the fade comeback by terry @17:23 It was the play where ertz motioned to the right. jayden takes the snap, fakes the handoff and scrambles to his right. can you briefly break down the play philosphy of what kliff was trying to accomplish? terry screams across the field running right to left and is wide open. was the ball ever supposed to go to him? or are they reading the edge rusher and trying to hit 14 while ertz is clearing out hoping the defenders rotate down to protect the front pylon? does the edge rusher save this play by not biting on the fake handoff? or is this ball eventually supposed to go to a wide open mclaurin running across the endzone? Is this a good or bad play design?

The unsung hero of the Skins is their center, Tyler Biadasz. He does a lot to help JD and the offense. Centers IMHO are the most undervalued position. They have the ball in their hand every play and the good ones are a bit like a 2nd QB in that they call the protections.

Or like a situation where the play clock is running down, headset messes up and the qb in his mind just says , im going to call a play I like and roll with it or would that be a major no no?

Actually, @ 4:18 if you watch Dyami, you’ll see the defended peel off of him and starts to cover the flat where Ekeler was running but Dyami is wide open down the middle. I think Jayden was staring down Ekeler on that pass which is why it didn’t work. As Jayden gets older, and gets more experience under his belt, he will learn to manipulate the defenders better with his eyes. Regardless, the kid is a phenom and it’s crazy to imagine what the ceiling is for this kid. He reminds me of Steve Young & I look forward to watching him for years to come. I’ll be 40 this year and so I do have vague memories of our SB teams, I have way more bad memories of the 99-2023 years that Snyder was owner. I am so happy for all of our longtime fans that had to suffer through the years of incompetence but it just makes it that much sweeter. I know there are going to bandwagon fans, because that’s just what casual fans do, and that’s fine but they will never be able to understand the feeling us longtime fans feel. I could almost cry I’m so happy for this team!

On that play, I thought the same. Until I slowed the video down. That when you can see the linemen was ready to sack Jayden. He had his hands on him. As Jayden started throwing. Brown was still not open at all. When the ball left Jayden's hand. And the linemen was taking Jayden down. That's when Brown got open. It was not possible.
@GraV21
@GraV21 12 күн бұрын
@@Rayallwayz The lineman was in his face because Jayden didn’t climb, or step-up into the pocket. Also, Dyami was absolutely NFL open there. You can see the (I’m assuming LB covering Dyami but then peel off to start covering the flat/Ekeler, which is now being double covered) which leaves Dyami wide open down the middle on a post route. Looks like there’s a safety over top but he’s plenty far enough away that Daniels could dart that in there if he saw it. The Bucs didn’t good job there defensively but there was a play there to be had. If Jayden anticipates that a little better, and climbs the pocket a little, it’s a catch all day. The kid has been amazing all year and I realize he’s a rookie so I’m not criticizing him for missing it, just pointing it out. I fully expect him to be even more advanced next year with a year of starting experience & playoff experience under his belt.
@Rayallwayz
@Rayallwayz 12 күн бұрын
@GraV21 you don't need to write a long explanation. I saw what happened. When the ball left Jayden's hand, the linemen had his hands on Jayden. Brown was not open when the ball left Jayden's hand. Instead of taking a sack. He got rid of the ball. I've seen Jayden miss open players in other games. This play is not one of them.
@GraV21

@@Rayallwayz wait, am I replying to your post, or are you replying to mine? Last time I checked it was mine, so I’ll write a f’in book if I want; & If you don’t like it kick-rocks, chief. Anyways, you’re wrong about Dyami not being open. Yea, Initially he’s covered ( like I said) but only initially. Had Daniels stepped up & seen him, he could have made that play because it was there. He would have given himself more time, which would have given him a better chance to see Dyami open up on the route. The pass rush caused him to speed up his processing & stare down Ekeler which the defense keyed in on immediately. NFL QBs are supposed to throw with anticipation because the windows are tight; I mean, you don’t get much more open than that in the NFL - Daniels just has to make the play. Credit to the Bucs defense for making that play. Also, I would rather see Daniels throw that ball OOB than try to force it to Ekeler in the flat like that. Very dangerous throw that could easily be a pick 6 if the DB reads it right & jumps the pass.

@Highspeed30 those are the same people that said Jayden didn't know or wasn't confident throwing it in the middle of the field his last year at LSU. When in fact. His coach said most of the plays in the playbook were designed for Jayden to throw it to the right side or left side. That's where Nabers would run his fly routes. Jayden got a lot of unnecessary hate from these people. Because they were so fascinated by Caleb. Calling him Mahomes like. I never hated on Mahomes. He has a bad line in Chicago. He will be better imo. But all the sacks he took. Wasn't the lines fault. I saw a few of his games. I noticed he ignored his open checkdown players and ran out to look for a homerun throw. And got sacked instead of throwing it for a 5-yard completion. Those guys hating on Jayden because they have been proven wrong. That Caleb is not way better than Jayden in the NFL. Like they predicted. Nick is another Caleb lover and Jayden hater. He gives little props to Jayden because Jayden is playing so well. But criticizes him with little jabs. Him and SAS said that if Baker didn't fumble. This game would be different. But they don't talk about the 4th down Commanders missed that gave Baker the ball. That Ertz was held. Jayden threw it where Ertz was supposed to be if he didn't get held. That would have been a TD. That should have 100% been called a pass interference. Ball should have been on the 1 yard line 1st and goal. If it was Caleb. Nick would have been screaming the refs did Caleb wrong.

If this is the play I'm thinking of, then it wasn't actually 2 qb spies. One of the defenders was in man coverage with either a TE or RB, and they stayed in to block. Once that happens, the defender becomes a free player. They had another player running a spy, so it looked like they were running 2 spies. This happens sometimes when you run cover 1 or 0 with a QB spy.

@@truthbetold7718 interesting. That was the main reason I was skeptical of the Bears drafting him. A man can only endure so much and he’s had to deal with an utter circus. I will say Kliffs style of building an offense around his QB's super powers is the proper way to coach Caleb up. Not demanding he conform your scheme.
