Yeah, that guy dances on the treadmill throughout every show while playing the keyboard one-handed. Interesting note: All the pyrotechnics? The band does it all themselves. Each one is a fully trained pyro specialist. A couple of governments tried to shut down their shows with rules requiring specialists be on stage to supervise all pyrotechnic effects, which would detract from the band's appearance. So the band took a year off to get themselves trained and certified. Also, if you ever see the video for 'Engel'? The giant fire-spitting metal wings the singer wears? The lead singer Till Lindeman made them himself. And made them flap.

Your information is inaccurate it’s not the entire band that’s certified. Till Lindeman is the only one certified as the pyrotechnic. and he didn’t take a year off . He was a Pyro Specialist years before he started the band.

Amazing is a slight understatement. My wife and I saw Rammstein in Glen Ellyn , Illinois in the late 90's before they became huge. Indoor arena with metal walls and roof. Maybe 500 people. Flamethrowers, fireworks, body suit on fire - the heat was felt throughout the arena. No words to describe how awesome that show was.

These guys are legends. They were a co-headliner at Big Day Out Australia back in the day and Limp Bizkit was the headline act. Bizkit pulled out due to a death at the Sydney show so Rammstein played their set allocation too. We got a full concert set that night in Melbourne and I wouldn't have had it any other way. Absolutely epic live.

Ummm???? I saw the LIFAD tour, and the Made in Germany tour, both in Tacoma, WA. The only thing that they didn’t do in WA was the enactment of Buch Dich as they were arrested and fined for “lewd and lascivious acts” on stage in 2001 in Texas. So in the US they “censor” Buch Dich by altering the theatrics. Other than that, it was exactly like the live videos when I saw them. Here in Canada (Vancouver, BC) they didn’t alter Buch Dich’s theatrics. 🤪

worked as an electrician at this show. Flake uses the treadmill as averbrato and generator for a mini TESLA coil. you see the bolts coming from the keyboard. takes hours to get it set right so it doesn't run thru his body. the TESLA coil is low amperage.

I was probably about 13 or 14 when I first heard Du Hast on the radio late at night, thus marking my introduction. In my ignorance, I was convinced this band's gimmick was singing is some "bizarre made up language". But I soon learned it was in fact German and shortly after purchased my first CD, Sehnsucht. I cherished that album and listened to every song. Agree that it's crazy that they actually became popular in the US, but I guess there was a market for their sound, despite the language barrier. It was at a time when hard-hitting heavy riffs were "the" sound.

I saw Rammstein live in Vegas 2017. It’s the best concert I’ve ever been to, and that’s saying a lot. It’s a once in a lifetime experience. $800 tickets. Had just gotten back from deployment. We could feel the heat from the pyrotechnics and fire from the pit.

The lightning at the keyboard was postproduced,, but everything else realy happened and is usual for Rammstein. They always do the firework stuff, even shooting it out of a bazooka-like thing. And the crowd control is what makes Rammstein so epic (especially in Samara, Russia - where 700k people came to see them).

Did you realise that the Band is named after the US Airbase Ramstein? It is part of our history here in Germany. In 1988 there was an Airshow with about 300.000 People in attendence. The Italian Air Force Aerobatic Team had an accident while doing a stunt. 3 planes crahed midair. One of them hit the ground 50 meters in front of the crowd, burst into flames and killed 70 people. One of the biggest accident in here Germany i can remember. The Band called themself after the Airbase which lead to quite an Outrage in public. There are Urban Legends about the 2. "m" in Rammstein. The nice one is they misspelled it, the not so nice one is that "rammen" which is the Verb to "ramm" means to violently hit something or somebody, which is what that Jet did back then. The Song "Rammstein" from ther Debut album, also has Lyrics that can be linked to this Event.

Actually it has a double meaning. "Hast" is German for "have" while "hasst" is German for "hate." They are pretty much homonyms. They sound the almost the same while having different meanings. So he could be saying "you have me" and he could be saying "you hate me." It's sort of a play on wedding vows.

Waited actually at the moment they went online with my 400k internet on cable: right at the second the selling started (German Tour) the internet of the vendor got broke! Reloading thousand times and after 5 minutes the site loads. But all tickets, in every german city are sold! I wonder, how the others made it. Rammstein is a german band with a lot of theatrics and gimmicks. Also they are into word-trickeries here: Du hast=You hate...but when you add "Mich gefragt" it changes to "you have asked me". Rammstein really got their international breakthrough in the movie "Tripple X" where they were playing "Fuerfrei". Enjoy :-)
