Todd had a prog-rock band, Utopia. In 1977, Daryl recorded a solo album that was so different from Hall and Oates that RCA refused to release it for three years. He got prog-rocker Robert Fripp of King Crimson to produce it (and also play guitar and co-write some material), Here is one song - kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6GviaqrpZmVpqM and here is the Live From Daryl's House version - kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYG0dHWId6t2rsU

Todd quoting from Wiki " is an American multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and record producer who has performed a diverse range of styles as a solo artist and as a member of the band Utopia. He is known for his sophisticated and often unorthodox music, his occasionally lavish stage shows, and his later experiments with interactive entertainment. He also produced music videos and was an early adopter and promoter of various computer technologies, such as using the Internet as a means of music distribution in the late 1990s.[1" I've seen him in concert multiple times. He can pretty much play any instrument (vocals, guitar, keyboards, drums, etc). This is his most famous song for sure, but it's the tip of the iceberg. He's amazing. He's now 72 years old. Love him.
