This song came out when I was in 7th grade. I was late for home room, (which was 2nd period for some reason) and the teacher asked me why I was tardy. This was my chance to shine. I was still in the doorway and, of course, I said "I don't feel tardy!" I was god of the school for that week. It was glorious.

You just made me smile, ear to ear!! My 15 minutes of high school fame came when, my teacher was chewing me and a couple of my friends out, sorta like the teacher in "I Wanna Rock" by Twisted Sister, he was just an A$$ h01e. So, I was in a bad mood that day, and I stood up after he started in on my cousin who was REALLY backwards and shy. So, he starts in on my cousin, and I stood up and im like, "Ya know, that's a f'n 'nough!! You sit there and yell at us guys you had sat in the back of the class at the beginning of the year, and ignore us when we have questions about our homework, or class work, or whatever today's class is about! But, I noticed thar you sat all the pretty girls, cheerleaders, and flirts in the front! And when THEY have a question, you sure do POP UP from your desk and almost trip over your own feet trying to get over beside them! Just so you can look at their paper with them, while your so close to them your almost sitting on their lap!! And, ya know what, while I think what you do is a little bit nasty, I can at least understand WHY you want to help them! But, ya know, it would be a little less obvious if you at least acted like you were helping us every now and then. At that point, I don't know if he was red with embarrassment or red with anger, but, he jumped up and said, "if you don't like the way I do things, you can get the hell outta my class!" I looked at my buddies, looked at him, grabbed my backpack and headed out of the class and into the hallway! After I started walking down the hallway, I realized ALL THE GUYS from my class are walking right behind me!! The teacher screams, ALL OF YOU, TO THE OFFICE!! I was like, that's where I'm headed, to tell anyone who will listen, just how you treat the girls in class!! He RAN PAST ME to make damn sure he got to the principle BEFORE ME!!! He did, and the principle (who I had become good friends with, after several trips to the office that year, lol) asked me, "does he really do that?" I told him, do you think 8 of us would've walked out if we were lying? He said no. Anyways, it was the only class I ever failed. And that teacher was watched fairly closely the rest of his time there. After word got around of my big "Walk out" I was like James Dean for the next month!! It was freaking GREAT!! I have to admit!! I loved it. But, unfortunately, everything soon went back to normal, and my star burnout!! But, I sure did enjoy it while it lasted!!!

Interesting fact about how this video was made: The video was filmed in a real school somewhere in the LA area. The only way VH could get the proper permits to shoot the video was if the local child services was on the set to make sure that the model/stripper didn't inappropriately touch the young boys and to make sure the band didn't exposed the kids to drugs and alcohol. They did have that party reputation back then. Thanks for the REACTION Jamel_AKA_Jamal, VH is my #1 band!

God, I loved this song... I think I was 4-5 years old when it came out. I would just watch MTV all day to just see the craziness of Van Halen... just pure fun.

May be already said in previous comments below ...Eddie VH played the Guitar Solo in Michael Jacksons "Beat it"...one of his best

Oh I loved watching this! Especially seeing the great Eddie Van Halen shred that guitar so soon after losing him to cancer. One of the best guitarist coming out of late seventies on and his son Rutger is the bassist on current Van Halen line up

Man, I was a freshman in high school when this came out. This video STILL makes me laugh. The song is just simply “100mph on the highway” good. LOVE this jam!
