This song makes me cry . Late 70’s , civil war in El Salvador, my fiancé went to Mexico to start a new life , promising me he was going to come back for me …. He never did ! The situation in El Salvador at that time was very dangerous for young people like me and him . As we were riding in a friend car , this song was playing on the radio. Ride like the wind ! I said to him … he looked at me and said “ I will “ and he did . I never knew what happened to him , after almost ten years later. He met someone in Mexico and got married there . Is sad and hard when love doesn’t love you back . Life goes on ! I hope you understand what I was trying to say. My dear friends “ Ride like the wind “ 🌺🌺❤️🙏
