My mom died in 1976 when I was 13. My dad, a quiet military officer who was non- demonstrative and liked classical music more than popular music of the day bought this 45. That is when I knew how much he loved her. Song has a coded password from the first note to the core of my being. Rest on peace to my parents. I hope they met beyond this realm. Love Jamel aka our brother.

The way Daryl steps back is what I love about LFDH presentations as well. It hi-lites and emphasizes the extensive Hall and Oates quality material which has, I believe, made them the #1 selling duo in rock history. And his band on this show is always top drawer even as it has evolved with changes in personnel. btw....at the time of this production, Paul Pesco was the guitarist, Musical Director for the show. You asked about him playing guitar. As you watch more LFDH you'll see just what a top talent he is.

I remember recently you did the reaction of Smooth by Santana featuring Rob Thomas and Rob was wearing a cowboy hat and you paused and asked "is he a country singer?" Rob Thomas is generally a soft rock/Pop vocalist who had fame in the mid 90s early 2000's as the singer of the band Matchbox 20. He's a great talent. Great reaction as always brother Jamel!

Daryl has always been legit (John too). There are performers and there are legends. So glad I got to see Daryl Hall and John Oates at University of Illinois on their Big Bam Boom tour, really their last big commercial success. They were outstanding, had a fabulous band. Once in a lifetime experience that I loved.
