This song came on the radio in the car a couple of months after my wife left leaving me to care for 4 little boys from 1, 3, 4 and 6 years of age. I'll never forget looking in the rearview mirror as 3 of my boys started crying, even though we had only listened to just the beginning. I had to turn it off and explain I would never leave them. It's a great song but sometimes makes me tear up 11 years later, thinking about their sweet faces in the rear view mirror.

It isn't until you hear the song, but you realize, he doesn't want to leave. He knows he has to, but he doesn't want to. The vocalization really helps understand what's going on with the inner struggle between having to, but not wanting to. But it's those drums and that coordination, that really makes us feel the anger and anxiety decision like that takes to make. It's a very powerful feeling that they have tapped into. When the listener realize it's an experience or an emotion, they can relate to. It will leave you speechless, at first. The thing about Zeppelin is. It doesn't accidentally hit you in your soul. It was designed to do that. As musicians, it is our job, to arrange music and words to elicit a specific response. And nobody, does that better, then Led Zeppelin.

Like Kiss's "Beth" I always assumed it was about Robert Plant having to go on the road with the band. The end of the song is the payoff, where he says that one day he won't have to do this any more and can come home to stay. I'm not sure who wrote the song, but Plant was certainly able to give it the right feeling.

This brought back some memories. Driving around in my beat up 1964 1\2 mustang, a Craig cassette player and hearing this for the first time. My poor little high school mind was totally blown. It wasn’t new but it was new for me. Thanks for the memories.

This is the first time I’ve heard this. It reminds me of when I left my abusive ex fiancé. Music gave me the courage to stand up for myself, and it was my shelter and sanctuary through so many dark nights. This has taken me right back to where I was twenty seven years ago. I’m so glad I pushed through and did it, no matter how lonely it might be alone. Omg this song...That’s the power of music and the Zep.

I've been watching your Led Zeppelin reactions, and all I can do is smile and go on to your next. I've grown up with this band as kind of a family tradition, so I can't remember a time when I wasn't rocking to Dazed and Confused, Moby Dick or Kashmir. It’s 8am in Vancouver, Canada. I’m in a coffee shop and noticed that you were experiencing some more new Zep... had to watch. No headphones, volume turned way down so I don’t disturb anyone... still getting goosebumps... ‘splain that dude... I have found that the production quality and dynamic range of these Led Zeppelin recordings is a very big part of what makes them special. Keep up the good work Jamal, and enjoy.

My favourite band of ALL TIME. Musical genius. Love that you’re discovering the music that influenced me as an artist and musician. Pink Floyd, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Led Zeppelin. One of the few good things that has come from the COVID 19 restrictions is that people are at home, chilling out, and taking the time to listen to music that was meant to make you stop, sit down and put headphones on and take the time to immerse yourself in a musical journey. Rock on! And welcome to the club 🤘
