The way they need to aim to make sorcerer if they want success, is to keep the 25% magic bonus for apex, but put it back to 100% cast speed, the class needs to become a mobile turret, meaning you can only be in damage mode while standing still, but with enough cast speed that you can still kite PVE mobs and use things like eruption without having to kite across the map first, or find a cheese spot. Basically, it needs to be come a jump and cast mage.

Their class design itself is incoherent with how other classes are designed, with no standard for damage, or utility, etc. for example, druid... Druid's ability to gap close, silence, and two tap any ranged, while also being able to switch into an impossible to hit rat, broke so many class matchups and game mechanics. Most other game's would've made it so each form switch had a cd, so you're committed to a form for 3-5 seconds, and rat only lasts for 3-5 seconds as a defensive CD ability, then it's on cooldown for 30 seconds. That way they can actually make counter play and tune druid numbers accordingly instead of having to balance around supper gimmicky and toxic gameplay.

I can attest to this, i play cleric so i have a heater, seeing a sorcerer instantly prepare a elemental bolt is nigh impossible to react to if you arent psychic or get lucky, i do hope they tone down the damage of elemental bolt a bit, 50 damage every 3 seconds without time perk gets a little nuts

I think they need to make the single spells for sorcerer a little bit stronger and give it faster cast speed or make the merge instant instead of another cast bar. You can’t peek on anyone with a bow and standing still to cast is so ass. I feel like fire arrows and some of the other spells do little to no damage.

The nerf was really fuckin rough, Lightning Storm went from BIS to sorcerer's worst spell by sheer numbers; It takes five ticks to deal the same damage that a spell with half its cooldown does instantly. It should do a lot of you catch a guy in the right spot, but they even made the spell area smaller

You can tell the way it was designed, it was supposed to be a nuke-y spellcaster with high CDs, since it has almost no defensive cooldowns against any rundown classes. Wizard is more consistent damage

@@l3lester17 Its Frostflame spear, i strongly recommend trying the class and testing that spell before judging its dmg too much, Its very slow and slim hitbox. with Instacast its 31 sec cd, and without its a 3-4 second cast time. its 60 total dmg + 15dmg with APEX, but it does do headshot dmg. Most of sorcs spells are clunky and slow, just a worse wizard in current state
