Smitty prob wouldn’t of been a top 10 pick but rarely does any one get their draft predictions correct. I think there is more short term memory in thinking that Smitty hasn’t been good since day 1 at Bama. There’s a lot of articles about Smitty coming up and how good he was just sort of hidden in the talent pool of Bama when they had all the other receivers on the team. Getting the ball to the playmakers is hard for any coach so I think with the loss of talent to the draft (Jeudy/Ruggs) then injury to Waddle allowed everyone to see how talented Smitty is. It’s going to be exciting to see Bamas new receiving core. I hope Smitty and Waddle get drafted by the correct teams that will utilize their talent

Apparently Devonta Smith would prefer Mac Jones over Tua. Quite frankly if I were Miami id take him at his word and draft Waddle at #3 overall. IMO they are the same player but Waddle has more size to him. I’m concerned with Waddle though because I’m seeing a lot of the same things I saw with Ruggs. He’s winning because he’s fast. Not because he’s a good WR. Streaks, curls, and crossing routes are essentially all he runs. Ruggs is struggling to separate in the NFL right now and he ran a 4.27. They have to learn the nuance of route running. Which is funny because they were both on the same team with Devonta Smith who’s the best Route Runner in college right now. Look at the separation Smith creates.
