Jaylor 5275 TMR Mixer: Dairy Ration Demo

The 5275 Mini-Mixer has been specifically designed to process bales up to 4’x5’ into a uniform TMR that resists sorting. i was looking on your website, but couldn't find out if it was possible to have left and right side discharge doors. is that possible? this size mixer would be ideal on my operation, currently i just put round bales in front of the cows, that are made with a baler without knifes in it. so just getting the feed processed i believe i should see a production increase.

would these process a 3x3 square bale?

It really depends on the bale but you can likely process 75-100% of one. For instance a 3x3x8 @ 750lbs requires a minimum of 375 cubic feet of volume to process due to the expanded volume of the hay when it's broken apart. The 5275 is 300 cubic feet standard (375 cu.ft. with extensions) so it's right at the top of what a model this size can do and denser bales would need to be processed in parts. If you're doing bales this size on regular basis a slightly larger model with a bit more headroom is going to be faster (and more economical in the long run) but the best way to know is to demo one.
