Both my Brother and SIL early retired from teaching after 20+ years. They said the kids nowadays are on a whole other level of aggressive, and physical, disrespect. He is so spot on. In my day if you got in trouble at school do not tell your parents!! You will get a whooping for being bad at school on top of whatever punishment school gave. In my day they still gave the ruler "put your hand out whack whack whack!!" then detention where you had to write lines, geez! Taught me a lot though. When we got those cards at the start of the school year for parents to sign , sign them yourself you never have to worry about how to forge a parents signature after that.
