About Nihar:
Nihar is a Mumbai-based music composer and singer. Nihar was born in a family full of musicians. His grandfather Mr. Jaywant Kulkarni was a renowned playback singer in the Marathi film industry and his parents, both singers, are active in the field of music from the last 25 years.
At the age of six, Nihar acted in a Hollywood film named ‘The Jungle Boy’. Nihar has since acted in films like ‘Chimni Pakhra’ (Marathi) and ‘Jajantaram Mamantaram’ (Hindi). Nihar was also a part of Anandji’s troupe ‘Little Stars’ and has performed extensively with the legend.
Nihar got a major break in the Hindi film industry when industry veteran Uttam Singhji, gave him the song ‘Ud Jaa kale kawa’ from the blockbuster film Gadar- Ek Prem Katha. Surprisingly, after several rehearsals prior to the recording, Nihar recorded the song in one take!
Nihar has also done playback for a Marathi film named ‘Dhangad-Dhinga’ by veteran film producer/director Mr. Mahesh Kothare for which he received an Alpha Gaurav Puraskar (now Zee Gaurav Puraskar) as an upcoming child artiste.
Apart from this, Nihar has hosted a singing reality show named ‘Gun Gun Gaani’ on Etv Marathi. He has sung for various ads/jingles like Chocos, Action shoes, Lifebuoy, etc. and for serials like Say Na Something To Anupam Uncle, Fox Kids, etc.
