Sonic 1 Mania (2019 Demo) ✪ First Look Gameplay (1080p/60fps)

Sonic 1 Mania is a Work in Progress Full Game Edit Mod created by Sonic 1 Mania Team.
For most people, you might be thinking "It's back!" Well technically yes, however, the developers are no longer working on the original mod, haven't since 2019. So here is what was left of the project.
The stages that were showcased here were the only ones you can complete. Spring Yard Zone is missing here, and Marble Zone, well, is a garbled mess, it's suppose to replace Lava Reef Zone. Technically it is beatable, so to anybody that happens to give it a try, good luck!
Something also worth mentioning from the creators. Anybody that's interested in continuing/finishing the mod is more than welcome!

A Model is used for 3D games, For 2d games they're called sprites

@Blakey you posted the comment because you were so focused on correcting me than the actual point of my response. If both a model and sprite serve the same purpose, then your comment wasn't needed. It seems far-fetched that you proved me wrong if you couldn't come up with anything different besides the game being 2D and 3D.

@@Ariscott56 they do serve the same purpose to identify the playable and non playable characters but the difference is how it's shaped visually. sprites are 2D images which are digital drawn used to represent an object basically a simpler illustration than models. models in the otherhand is a 3 dimensional object, made up of a large number of vertices that are used to render flat triangles, or in simple words a detailed illustration than sprites.

not really, because the skin color uses tails' colors but the fur color palette is the same as crackers

This looks great! I am so excited for the new Sonic the Hedgehog movie. After Paramount cleaned up their act and got the character design right, the first movie was a lot of fun. I just put out a new video where I play every Sonic game for the Switch in preparation for the new movie. Sound off in the comments! Would love to hear your thoughts.
