Fantastic!!! So glad to have stumbled across a jolly phonics book, and delighted to have found your channel. This is such a beautifully concise video . Thank you very much. My 3.5 year old has curiously been sounding out the phonics of words in conversation, discovering rhyming words, and matching the same starting and ending sounds of words as verbal games, but only visually recognises half of the letters. Would introducing the phonics first be appropriate?

Completely the correct age 4 years old to begin this topic. Don't worry that your child knows the names already, just don't mention them anymore and stick to the phonics sounds.

Hi I just want to ask. I teach 4 year olds this year. How many sounds can I teach in a week? Also do i need to complete all (ex: satpin) within a week?

This is a great question. According to the teaching handbook it is recommended you do one sound per day. However, if the students are non native and need language instruction also, I recommend 3 per week with big reviews throughout the week
