It’s actually because he don’t chase pojnts, like the rest of the players in the league. He plays within the system and its winning over anything. He don’t have to stat pad/ take 35-40 shots a night . He can easily go for 40 or 50 if he wanted to and ball hog like Luca and Embiid do year after year . But that’s just not who he is.

@@dylanalbuquerque4854bro .. what would you rather have a MVP OR A RING ? I think if JT really wanted too, he could go out there and ball hog for 48 minutes and go crazy every single night. And put up them crazy stupid stat lines like them other ball hogs do. But that’s not him, he’s about winning first, and then sharing the success with his teammates. It’s funny though because, the current MVP candidates are not gonna win a championship, except for MAYBE the joker.

Tatum could’ve easily tried to go for his 70pt game, but instead of forcing shots, he decided to be a decoy the 2nd half and get his teammates going. And he still had to step in in the 4th and take them home. People will constantly compare their favorite stars to Tatum and diminish him for not have the flashy stats that Luka or Embied have with their usage rate, yet he’s quietly become an elite rebounder, a sharp passer, and a top tier defender. Tatum has taken his entire game to another level!

he literally took a run of 5 minutes and 4 minutes in the second half without shooting the ball. Do NOT chalk up his missed threes in the second half for whatever point youre trying to make. @CptRexFilms987654321 is right, he took a back seat and decoy role and packed his stat sheet elsewhere

He shot it well this game, but I wish Tatum would drive the ball more instead of taking so many pull up threes, cause he does shoot a lot of low percentage threes, off the dribble, stepback, contested threes.
@BigMacCoyle11 ай бұрын
He tends to do that more in "big" games like he wants the recognition. Instead it always backfires and hurts the team.
@FezzesRCool1111 ай бұрын
The deal with his threes is that they don't always hit, but the defence always has to respect it, because he can catch fire on that shit real quick. On paper his efficiency might increase if he stops shooting those threes, but in practice I think he'd be less efficient, because there'd be one less thing that anyone defending Tatum has to think about. And it's a pretty significant thing: if you let Tatum get his eye in you just can't stop him. That said, it would be nice if he could be just a little more accurate.
@ZoomZoom35611 ай бұрын
@@FezzesRCool11Yeah it would be nice if he was more of a 38-40% shooter on these pull up jumpers, cause Tatum is unstoppable when he drives to the basket, he’d be that much better if he improved his efficiency on these jumpers.
