The Horseshoe, Electric Ballroom, Dingwalls, Special Branch, The Wag were some of the Jazz clubs where we'd go to dance to classics like this track, which was one of the one of the biggest fusion movers ever that we were in awe off, from the 1979 Manifestations album, featuring Roberta Davis on vocals, from Brazillian keyboardist Manfredo Fest

That sweet twinkling percussion instrumental in the beginning just before that sick bass line rhythm kicks in reminds me so much of the Brit Jazz funk hit Southern Freeeze by Freeeze in 1981. Really beautiful, timeless and exotic to the core. 🥳😎
