Hahaha! I don’t so much worry…but wonder…if maybe he has a secret way to camouflage…like inside a Trojan-like fake flowerpot, or piece of garbage, no one will look at twice and/or pick up. Shoot…if they can hide cameras in air-bnb’s, perhaps they are even easier to remain unnoticed out in the wild!

You can get Burt's Bees and traditional Chapstick from Normal. There's one at Montparnasse in the station near Mango and Exki (more or less below Fnac/Monoprix-Marks and Spencer.) Also they sell Burt's Bes at some Monoprix in the parapharmacie.

I’m English and our culture is extremely odd! Not seen a unicorn yet though! Love seeing my fave places in London there! Monmouth Coffee in Monmouth St - I love to sit outside there too with a coffee. Getting there early really helps! Also a BIG recommendation to go to, literally a few steps away try going to 26 Grains. The food is amazing! They are known for their porridge! But they do some other treats! And you just have to see where it is (Neals Yard) so quaint!!! I will be there in two weeks time!!

I thought I saw some Burt's in a Monoprix on Rue du Faubourg du Temple in Goncourt when I was there in November. I opted for La Petit Marseillais instead (which was ok).

We ate at that Seven Dials Market a couple years ago…good stuff. After lunch we popped up to the upper floor and sat at “Pick & Cheese”, a conveyor-belt cheese restaurant and tired everything and had some ciders. Highly recommended!

NUXE lip balm is a good brand, available at any pharmacie. I buy it in the little glass jar, but they also have the stick format, more easily portable for men without purses 😁

So I sell cosmetics for a living (and when I was in Europe I bought a ton of Inventory!). Im remarkably pleased with Labello Lipbalm (which is sold as Nivea here in the states...but Labello in Canada as well as Germany). When I was in Paris I went to a Pharmacy near the Sacre Coure and I bought a Caudlie' Lip balm that im still nursing 4 years later and honestly it might be the best lip balm ive ever used. I also got a 3 pack of Bioderma lip balm (im pretty sure it was under 10 Euros) and that stuff has been a solid winter time keep your mouth moist lip balm. It was a blind buy that I was super happy with. I periodically use Burts Bees but honestly you have better stuff in France you can pursue when you are ready!

When I was in college, a friend of mine's dad raised bees and sold to Burt's - which is part of why I can't help myself but call it the beeswax - but then it also led me to believe that it originated in WA, which was pure ignorance on my part.

I very much support the impulse to go to England to buy a lip balm - adventure and movement is always welcome. If you should need a lip balm in the future, and don't have time to travel to another country, I very much recommend the honey Nuxe balm which is easy to purchase in a French pharmacy 🤣

I’m in a weird mood today so pardon any perceived rudeness. I had to laugh when I thought you really took the EuroStar to London to try to find Burt’s Bees. A)people get addicted to their favorite lip goop. For my daughter it is Carmex. B) The French Pharmacists is so very knowledgeable about what you need and their cosmetics are above par, that if you went into a French pharmacy for dry lips, they would tell you to hydrate and then offer you a solution 10x better than Burt’s Bees. Nothing at all against Burt’s Bees but the more mainstream they became and the demand was higher, they had to use more mainstream ingredients. I don’t know that!!! I have looked at the ingredients and been disappointed and so decided (all on my own and all by myself) that they were forced into this to satisfy demand. But, I think they did use beeswax. C) Either way, you are living in France and becoming a French citizen and it’s time you explored the wonderful world of French cosmetics and intelligent remedies. I won’t go down the road of the impact of commercialism or capitalism on the backs (and chapped lips) of the American people. Profit comes before pampering. Beeswax is far superior to Petroleum/paraffin wax. Shutting up now before 1M fans and followers clobber me for being such a snoot. ESPECIALLY because you said yourself that it was a ruse. Wait, (I said I would shut up!!!) you stopped to eat before you went to eat and while you were having second breakfast, you said you needed to I. So I went from amused to confused. That’s probably very good therapy for an old woman who is developing a tremor, losing her hearing AND forgetting common words. Don’t beat me up too badly, I am simply poking…poking… oh good grief! I have forgotten his name. And his little dog, too!! I should try some caffeine.

Nah, no snoot here, I love this. You're totally right, French skin care is renown - I actually know a couple of great small shops that sell it. I just never use it so I don't think about it (but yes, it was also a fun ruse to get to London). As for the confusion, I get it, I hadn't eaten more than a snack until I had that sandwich (which was pretty small), and then went and got coffee (still hungry) and almost made the trip all the way back west without eating anything more substantial. So last minute I stopped in and got some chicken (wanted to try a new stand in the market) but it all happens pretty fast and without full explanation haha. Thanks again for commenting =D
