"I'm already an Arctic Monkeys fan after one song". Think a few million people can say the same thing. For me it was "Certain Romance" off their first album in 2006. Followed quickly by "Fake Tales of San Francisco"(!!!). Check those two next. Alex Turner is the lead singer, lead guitarist, and songwriter. He's a natural musician. Reminds me of Paul McCartney a little: he just has a great ear for a good riff or melody, and ends up writing total ear worms that you just can't get out of your head. Arctic monkeys are class Jay, yet another awesome reaction! You'd like an early one of theirs called "despair in the departure lounge". So many to choose from though - view from the afternoon, good on the dance floor, mardy bum, 505, yellow bricks, when the sun goes down, a certain romance, brianstorm, fluorescent adolescent....... I met my husband because of the Arctic Monkeys. We worked in the same place in different departments and we got chatting at a work function one afternoon when he happened to mention that they’re his favourite band. I told him my you get sister had gone to uni in Sheffield where they lived and started up and had been to some of their early small gigs and been out with them and we talked for hours. He came to mine the following night to listen to some of their music and never left.

Great band. You should start with as many songs as possible from their debut. They were only seventeen and eighteen years old, but damn.
