It warms my heart to see younger people getting so much joy from the music I grew up on. The 70's were crazy - every year a piece of music like this was being released.

I am sixty seven and until a couple of years ago I had never heard Of bobby womack except in amariah carey song where she says bobby womack on the radio. This is my favorite song by him and the other one is that's the way I feel about you. He has a very distinct voice. It's very rough but it's emotional.

Check out "Just Across 110th Street" which was also used in Quentin Tarantino's classic movie "Jackie Brown" starring the sexy and iconic Pam Grier, Samuel L. Jackson and the late Robert Forrester. Bobbie is the real deal. Born on the poor side of Cleveland, found by Sam Cooke, married Sam's wife after Sam was shot. One of the greatest soul singers and writers of his time. Harry Hippie is in my top 5 all time favs.

Yes I really appreciate the way Jay reacts to the music. In my opinion his reactions are always heartfelt and truly appreciate the music itself. Where on others who are doing reactions videos are focused on simple things and I feel as if they are missing the point of it all. Jay's reactions are like that of those of us who was there during the time when the songs were released reactions was like this as well.

Bobby wrote this song about a relationship he was in. Him and his girl were having an argument because she was cheating on him because she was lonely and he told her if you think you're lonely now wait until tonight.

No, he wrote this song after overhearing a conversation with one of the guys in his band talking to his wife on the phone . They was practicing late that night and the wife was complaining about him always being away from home. The band member told his wife if you think you're lonely now wail until tonight then hung up on her . Bobby said to himself WOW that would make for a song and wrote it . I heard Bobby tell the story in an interview on television once

I highly recommend “Across 110th Street” from the movie of the same name 1972. As someone else mentioned, it was resurrected by Quentin Tarantino for the 1997 movie “Jackie Brown”. Great tune. Both are great movies. I also recommend that you listen/watch the Gorillaz song/video of “Stylo”. Again, great song. Great video. Enjoy!
