You are the best teacher online. I have gotten at least 10 different courses and none has explained things the way you do.

Brilliant as usual. I for one would welcome more on 7th extension rules. This series is making my practical work a lot more bearable because I understand so much more. I still sound terrible, but I understand why :). Thanks Gracie

Gracie, thank you. This is by far the best explanation I've ever come across. I hope you'll continue on with major and minor chords. Also, a subject I think many of us would like a clearer understanding of modes and practical uses.

What notes were in a chord such as a C9, A11, or F13 chord was always unclear and confusing, especially which notes were sharp, flatted or taken straight from the parent scale. Thank you for clearing that up for me! Personally, I would love to see more lessons along these lines. Once again, your great teaching skills reign supreme! Thank you, Gracie!

C13 is an emotive structure. When you play it, knowing what it is, the sound contorts your expression to reflect the feeling of the chord. A C13 video would be fun to learn from!

Thankyou. As illuminating as ever. You are a wonderful teacher. I'd love to see more on what parts of chord extensions get "dropped" first ( for those of us with only 4 strings to our bows) Cheers.

Thanks Gracie! I'd like to see a video on dropping notes out of these extended dominant chords like the 13th. This would be helpful for me; like someone else mentioned my instrument of choice doesn't have enough strings to play a full dominant 13th chord.

Hi Gracie. Thanks for this video. Very thorough, and I liked the emphasis on what part we students had to remember (9th, 11th, 13th). I would be very interested in a video that showed us the more and less important ingredients to a chord recipe. Especially helpful I think for the guitarists among us. I have another question but will not pose it here. Bye John Keefe

Hi Gracie, My question is If a chord is written as a C-13 .... is the C7 formula apply? I'm a little confused about this. OH!... sorry you just started to go over this in your video after I posted this... sorry. Thanks Mike
@GracieTerzian3 ай бұрын
Just be aware that C-13 (c minor 13) is a different chord than C13! I think I only went over C13 in the video.
@michaeltesoriero77773 ай бұрын
My mistake... I added the - (dash) That makes it a minor. I should of wrote it as C13.... By the way, I love the way you teach.. You have a gift that allows you to transfer your knowledge in a way that is easy to understand.

do you have any videos that show how to learn the basics such as chords major, minor, diminished chords, and practice techniques for learning piano? I don't really know if I'm asking the right question, but some teachers are missing explanations about playing chords. they tell you about the inverted stuff such as a C major chord using notes from different octaves but will tell you can find any major or minor chords using a counting system of 3-4 or 4-3 to find any major or minor chords, which is confusing. I understand them both, but starting out, but applying inverted chords as a beginner seem like these teachers are just showing off confusing people.
