you can tell you are improvising. you keep it pretty fluent, but you can tell you are just one thought ahead of the music. refreshing to hear someone that sounds live, not contrived.

If you added some overdrive you could throw in some tapping to spice it up. Shred techniques in the hands of a jazz musician can be dangerous. Some arpeggios too. Other than that solid playing my dude. I jam to this song all the time.
@SkybornWaves2 жыл бұрын
And you're 100% right, but I need to practice more and learn more about surfing via different scales in real time, that jazzy mood. Because my poor diatonic arpeggios - well ... Anyway, thank's for an advice, man !)

Very nice. Are you improvising, is it a composition, or something in-between? I liked your descending chords at the 3:45 mark, and the tasteful re-entry into faster lead. It never felt stale. There was always something new there, yet it achieved a coherence as a whole. Great stuff.
@SkybornWaves2 жыл бұрын
Thank you ! It is just a random impovisation, backing track I've used from youtube, you can find link to it in description, for your own playing. By the way, here is another jam video, maybe you'll like it, cheers ! ;) kzbin.info/www/bejne/qnekimVpf9apmpY

@SkybornWaves Жыл бұрын

you don't address the chord changes at all, which is the whole point of fusion. Playing only diatonic scales over this seems really boring and pointless.
@SkybornWaves2 жыл бұрын
And you're 100% right, only diatonic and chromatic sometimes, but within edges of one root scale. I know and hear this, but can not play yet, I'll be thankful for any useful links, where I can grow up my skills. For sure there is a lot more music, even between semitones :)

@@SkybornWaves I love that Benjamin Harrison back track. Did you have to ask for permission to use it? I apologize for my boring and pointless comment, that was not very nice. I was in a shitty mood when i wrote that. You're a very good player.
@SkybornWaves2 жыл бұрын
@@musicproductioncentral4540 Don't be sorry, you've wrote a truth :) I hear all these nuances, but unfortunately in my childhood I was an electric engineer in coal mine, and have no pro education degree, all my knowledge I've got from self-education. About permission - nope, I didn't talk with Behjamin, but there is answer in his FAQ on his website, that you're allow to use audio with link to original source in description. Cheers from Ukraine !)
