When I first heard instrumental jazz on the radio or in a club, I thought it sounded classy, but I wasn't sure what I was hearing but a bunch of noise. This video, using jazz standard "Sweet Georgia Brown" as an example, explains to my 12-year-old friend Aurora how to recognize a swing rhythm, what beat to snap or clap on, and what the musicians are doing when they solo.
