7 days to the wolves....Wembley Wembley performance 2015 please 🤘💜🦉💎🙏🏼
This was less than two weeks after her first gig with the band. We shouldn't be too surprised though. She, and they, are consummate professionals, but they all seemed to gel as a team very quickly.

That's an interesting route you chose to jump deeper into Nightwish rabbit hole.. cool. Subscribed for that.

This was very early on into singing for the band. She had yet to acquire stage clothes for Nightwish. This is one song written for Annette. She was the second singer for Nightwish. She does a great job with this one live at The Montreux Jazz festival. Better sound quality. See link. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJyUm5iAd9SWmJo - Slow Love Slow - w/ Annette

This song is such an outlier, but is one of my all-time favorites with that melody. The studio version with a longer ending is great, albeit with a different lead singer. If I remember the "lore" correctly, the drummer was the one who had to "go to school" for this song, as I don't think he had any jazz in his background, having been with just this band since his teens, and Nightwish having started out as a power metal band that shifted into symphonic and later proggier direction. Singer's outfit must be her lucky one, since I'm pretty sure I've seen her wear it while with her previous band, After Forever.

for being with the band for what like a month or so the fact that they did a quite exceptional and superb job here with this song because jazz is a bit of a different game but it shows how good of professional musicians they are top tier for a group that is as electric as they are this is absolutely beautiful besides i just saw floor with her solo band do an acoustic version of nemo and then i saw an acoustic version of that same song with her and nightwish and in both versions absolutely beautiful very cool very much

When you were making a comment about her clothes, you're forgetting she had flown over from the Netherlands two weeks before, bringing whatever costumes could fit in her luggage. She's over 6' tall so she can't exactly drop into the local clothing shop to pick up any old black leather metal singer outfit. She did get some exposure to jazz in her musical education, but this tour was probably the first time singing the genre in front of an audience. Here's Anette, the previous singer, at the Montreux Jazz Festival a few months before. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJyUm5iAd9SWmJo Much better audio and camera work so you can see what is happening. Interesting that a metal band would get invited to a jazz festival. Here's Floor from just a few months ago during her solo tour of the Netherlands, singing the same song. kzbin.info/www/bejne/f2G1f3agYtmib9E (fancam, but semi-decent).

Especially since in the original video, Anette was also dressed in red, so that's probably why.

Floor is amazing but check the original version with Annette, the previous singer, the song fits her like a glove. Either album version or live at Montreaux Jazz Festival

I hate it that did not make a professional recording of Floor singing this song at the time. But if things come to pass as planned we will have a professional recording after all when she records her last solo concert with a full camera and recording crew. Keep our fingers crossed because that tour was awesome. .

Enjoyed this very much, thank you. The 48 hours is about a documentary . Toumas sent Floor an SOS message with a song book. " Please Learn Set List In 48 Hours " They asked her to step in when Anette became ill at the start of a long tour in the Us and ending in Europe. You should watch the doc.,as a musician you will catch a lot that most of us won't.

I think Anette's voice is just perfect for this song. I can think of no more than 5 songs were Anette has the right voice for Nightwish songs (meadows of heaven, scaretale, among others)

They were in middle of world tour on USA and got to the point that they needed singer. So they called Floor and asked " Can you come. We have next gig in 48 hours..." Luckily she able to come. There is document Please Learn the Setlist in 48 hours.

Watch the AFAS Live in Amsterdam 2021. I have been waiting for this song to be recorded professionally with Floor for a long time and there it it is. Since you are a jazz musician you should enjoy this more than the Nightwish version. Smooth jazz until the end when it becomes more rock. The guitar solo is sweet. Floor is not wearing a bright top to distract you LOL!

Well, she didn't sing in Spanish and she didn't do any Latin style music, but for the show beste zangers she learnt something new in less than a week 😂 Try "Que Se Siente" from that show. But before check out the original song from Rolf Sánchez (I guess that's his correct name)... So you also see how she changed it 😉

Floor had indeed just joined the band less than two weeks earlier in a rush after their previous singer left in the middle of the tour. Here is a video with better recording quality with their previous singer Anette: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJyUm5iAd9SWmJo. The fact that Floor picked this song up so well without any previous experience in jazz (besides her education) shows how good singer she is and how versatile she is. She is one of the best and most versatile singers out there. About her clothes: I guess it was what was in her suitcase when she flew over to step in and save the tour. She had two days before the next show, no more. In that time she had to book the flight, pack her suitcase, fly over from Europe to America, learn the setlist and join the band for the next show. I guess that she had the stage clothes that she wore later during the remainder of the tour made after she joined the band. She had limited cash resources with her previous band and her new occupation probably enabled her to invest in a better stage outfit.
