So glad I found your channel and 100% agree with your comments on supporting current jazz artists. I found myself a couple of years ago buying every Tone Poet and Classic album that came out and I saw someone else ask if that money couldn't be better spent supporting living artists. Ever since I've been buying one or two jazz albums every Bandcamp Friday. I'm 64 and like to learn new things so I'm learning bass guitar. I am particularly grateful for your mention of the bass guitarists that Hiromi has played with. If you have a couple of other albums you'd recommend with great bass guitar I'd appreciated it. Thanks!

For sure! A couple recent albums with great bass guitar playing: Orlando Le Fleming - Romantic Funk The Unfamiliar, Janek Gwizdala - Night Watch, Pino Palladino - Notes with Attachments.

Enjoying the new jazz often a lot more than the old, so-called classics. Bandcamp is a great source. Passing along any other good sources out there you know of would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Adam. Cool to see more new jazz releases I wasn't aware of. Living in Europe my top10 looked a bit different. So much fantastic jazz is being released these days. And released on vinyl! Still waiting for my copy of Owl Song, will probably arrive early next year :) Happy New Year. Cheers. /Paul

Incredible video! You really deserve A LOT more views for this. I've watched a lot of favorite album list videos and this is by far the most well done.

No love for Muriel Grossmann? Her 2023 'Devotion' Lp release is right up there with the rest of her work. She is one of the best and a big loss for those who have not heard her!

Good luck with what you do and with your music making. Hated your list mainly though except the Akinmusire lps. The main problem seemed to be that lack of a passport; you barely look beyond your back yard. Choosing so many american players, then the exception being Hiromi, who last time I saw played like a woodpecker hammering a tree. Take the blinkers off brother, check out what is coming from the Uk and Europe. Look at the releases from ECM, ACT and Gearbox for starters. They all issue vinyl, gearbox even use tube signal path recordings. Compare the outputs of Poland's Leszek Mozdzer and Marcin Wasilewski, Frances Michel Benita for starters.
