Lovely playing, writing, arranging. Great textures in the orchestration and strong feeling of building on the tradition to create an original voice.

Late to the party, but enjoyed it muchly. If not ironic, incongruous that I was introduced to her work with the Clasijazz Valparaiso Big Band -- all young Spanish women. Christine's "Sea Fever" was fine.

I could only get through the first ten and a half minutes. I hear mostly short, trite phrases strung together. I hear some knowledge of how to work with different sections of the orchestra, dynamics, and I see some conducting skill. The musicians seem very capable. However, I don't hear much composition skill. Without good musical ideas, the significant effort seems wasted, and the overall effect is boring.
