David Lang I gladly accept "best vocalist of SAJB" as your opinion, but I beg to differ. I can agree to "one of the best..." though - it's a delight to listen to her! "Best" always depends on the criteria which - for regular listeners like me - are difficult to separate from personal preferences. I for one cannot decide between the original Magias - Rita, Andrea, Eva, Magali.

For those who say that's not jazz... Rita is not arrived to this Festival by surprise... No ? She was invited by some personns which have think that his musical practices, his talent - and the one of Elisabeth - are some kind of jazz with her manner to play trombon, to sing with a so creativ voice... Very often, the "real jazz music" is played by musicians just searching the hardest way to touch the heart of the audience... Here, Rita and Elisabeth just let their hearts leading their music, and they surely touch ours more efficiency than many of real jazz

Academic discussions of genre are of no importance. This is absolutely tremendous music. The audience at this declared "jazz" festival loved Rita and Elisabeth's music and applauded it with standing ovations. Also, this concert was unanimously praised in the reviews as a highlight of the JazzBaltica 2021 edition. Nils Landgren, top notch jazz trombonist and Director of the festival personally invited Rita and Elisabeth. Nils knows true quality in music, and he was in the audience too. Haha, I can't believe what some people take away from this concert is if it's jazz or not, as if that matters in the end. I'm sure people like Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter and Wayne Shorter would love it and not say no to play along with her, as they've done with people like Milton Nascimento. Not that it necessarily would make it jazz according to some people's definition, but there can also be a point with that. ~
