Scott Hamilton joue toujours en détente.....il est excellent parce qu'il s'amuse toujours ! Et ce pianiste très remarqué a un jeu très personnel . Je me demande ce qu'il est devenu , c'est un garçon d'avenir !!

I asked the same thing before reading the comments! The piano player is great...very creative solo. Of course, Scott is great...'Great Scott!'. Thanks for posting this! I'd be remiss if I didn't compliment the drummer and bass player...all around great performance and players.
Thank youTube for your part preserving this beautiful art.

most beautiful, brilliant tune. Scott takes his time ,but with the most melodious lines, composing, yes you could write his solo down as a new tune, very skilled.

When ever I need to hear how a standard should sound. I can depend on Scotty to have a recording of it on youtube or spotify.

I wonder why the comparisons of solos and renditions. Each take from the greats stand on their own, Oscar was a genius and Stan has stood the test of time and is near or on top of many lists - especially on tone ,,,Scott has a wonderful wide sound and the piano solo in this piece is very good. So ,,, let it be and enjoy

One of my favorite songs! Brilliant piano playing! And great bass lines! Very well recorded - a pity more concert recordings are not recorded as well as this. And also a pity the recording was cut off because of the old 10-minute KZbin length limitation.

Look parents, if you are going to bring your kids to a jazz concert, then they are your responsibility. If they cant be quit, please leave. All else is super disrespectful for the rest of us.

Stella is a great vehicle for improvisation and this rendition was particularly enjoyable most of the way. Piano solo outstanding and the bass work was right there. But it got a bit boring later on.

Hi, The tune is not complete !! I would like to transcribe the solo, but I need the end of the tune. do you have it?
@raefblack79067 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't listen to smeg head Gustav. You can probably find a transcription on-line somewhere and save yourself the trouble. That is why it is called a repository you dumb tosser Smeg!

wrong... he either switched reeds or just adjusted where it lies on his mouthpiece...
@brucekuehn40312 жыл бұрын
He must not be too pleased with it. He goes back again and fiddles some more at the beginning of the bass solo.
@otanygirl11 жыл бұрын
I think the Saxophone is not coming out so good in that combo. The Rest is amazing! I love so much how Scott is finishing his tones. Playing after he played.

Great, great sax man and great piano (but jeez, I wish they'd tuned it - some of the notes are so over-ripe - "between the key cracks" - a real shame. A disservice to the pianist, who is freakin' great!

I think his reed is to fat :-/ He should try with thinner reeds 'cause that would make his sound a lot brighter..

Hi, Joel- music like poetry is both universal and abstract in its appeal, but a response to any music is personal, unique. Most judgement about music is relative and academic, and these days economic, in the sense of number of recorded performances or tickets sold. I'd be interested to hear your definitions, Joel of good Hamilton and best tenor sound. 6/11/18.
