I’m sitting at my terrace in Lisbon, Portugal. Enjoying a nice cigar and a glass of fine Port, of course after a long and enduring week at work, reading all these comment and I just want to tell you this - enjoy your life at this present, enjoy the moment, it’s your time, nothing and nobody can steal it from you. You know exactly what I’m talking about. Peace and love!

My dad's friend owns a jazz bar, and the music is amazing. This sounds like exactly something the band would play- one time I even got to perform “I’m beginning to see the light”, “fly me to the moon” and many others with a sax player, a trumpet player, a pianist, a drummer, and a bassist. It was probably one of the best experiences in my life. Jazz has a way of making you feel like you're on top of the world. Love the compilation and hope the 1% reading this has a great day (edit: thanks for so many likes!)

You aren't useless, or bad. Life is full of judgement. Sometimes we expect so much of ourselves to a point where the ego feels it needs to be the best, and when you realize you aren't to your potential yet you may find yourself with an even more influenced ego, but this time aimed at yourself with mostly negative thoughts. Try to focus on where you are now, and how you can improve it. Don't let your expectations be your future, let it be a piece of influential motivation. As a landscape is to an artist with a paintbrush.

I remember going to a live music event with my grandfather when I was younger. It was a small venue, with maybe 50 people in the audience. But the energy in the room was incredible. The band was playing an old jazz number, and I'll never forget the way the sax player hit those high notes. I was mesmerized. After the set, my grandfather introduced me to the band's piano player. To my surprise, he let me sit down at the piano and play a few notes. I was terrible, but he smiled and encouraged me to keep practicing. From that moment on, I fell in love with jazz music. Over the years, my grandfather and I attended countless jazz shows together, and I even started playing piano in a local big band. Jazz has brought so much joy and connection to my life, and I will always cherish those memories with my grandfather.

If your reading this, it's probably night time or maybe your studying for that upcoming test you have, or you might not be doing anything, you might just want to listen to some calming music. No matter the reason, I hope you know that everything is okay, take a deep breath, pause your studying, stop what your doing, look outside, go outside if possible, just for a minute. Take a minute to take a couple deep breaths outside, get some fresh air. Fill your lungs with the cold air outside, take a minute to look around, look at this beautiful earth we live on, it may be flawed but it's still beautiful. Just like you, I hope you dream, I hope you find yourself, do what you want to do, find your happy place, be around the people you love! Do anything that could help you. I might be a stranger talking to another stranger telling them what to do as if I know them, but I want you to know, you're loved by many. It might not feel like it but I promise things will look up for you. You'll find love, make friends with the greatest people, achieve your dreams. I hope you can live your own life, be the happiest you possible. ❤😍😍😍

These songs, really made me realize what i wanted to pursue in life. I've never been a person who can socialize or communicate well with others, I never fit in with any groups, and pushed away every person I ever dated. Ive been like this my entire life, id just sit their at night and stare at the ceiling with my headphones on. I often thought about what I could do to help people who are going through a rough time in their life. I wanted to give them something like a ray of hope, something that they could be inspired by, like a mutual understanding of feelings i guess. But i never had any idea as to how i would accomplish this, it took me almost 22 years to figure this out. Its through music, its something we can share with eachother, its like another language that connects people not just with words. It also connects us through specific feelings. A song can bring out the most vulnerable parts of people and also the strongest. Its something that can portray that persons life and their exact feelings, i hope this helped someone, even if its just one person. Please keep your head up and push towards your goal. Dont be afraid to take life head on, life will be a struggle, but in the end all that struggle can pay off. Take care 🖤

Being a widower is hell. Despite the efforts of my daughter and her husband, the second year of having lost my wife still hurts. Smooth Jazz, throughout my life, has helped me maintain an even keel. Though some selections hurt, overall there is a calming effect. A widowed friend sent to me an article about an elderly man who’d loss many friends. He referred to the effect as that of Tsunamis. They clobber you, then recede, return with less intensity as time elapses, yet...when least expected, another Tsunamis pummels you, Enjoy your life and relationship while you can, because life can change in an instant . Man makes plans, God laughs.

Love the compilation and hope the 1% reading this has a great day

As soon as all this pandemic stuff is over, plan a trip. There’s so much to do. Museums, tours, world markets, broadway shows. Just don’t drive there. Turns out driving halfway across the entire country isn’t very fun. Very beautiful though. Lots of mountains and open plains. Saw other cities I thought I’d never see. Driving into the city was probably one the most surreal things I’ve ever experienced. Old neighborhoods, churches, the smaller parts of town. Then you get on one of the bridges and you see everything for miles. That group shot in the first avengers movie-I got stand where they stood. Very cool. Amazing food. Chinese, Korean, Jamaican. Had the best Pork and noodles I’ve ever tried. Cheesesteaks are steaming with meat, cheese, and onions pour outta the side. Whatever food you can think, I bet you could find it. People play jazz on the streets, in Central Park, in the subways. The city truly does not sleep. I was walking with my group and people were everywhere, it’s raining softly and everybody having a good time and looking up at the buildings. I look at my phone and it’s 1:30 in the morning. Standing on top of the Empire State Building is something everybody has gotta experience at least once. Fast food places have time limits for how long you can be there. Since the city is so populated, you go in, you eat, and you leave. This all is from just Manhattan, and I bet I’ve barely scraped the bottom of the barrel. I met a super honest guy who asked me for some change so he buy some drugs. I appreciated the honesty, but said no. Super interesting people. Cabs are about how I expected them. Some drivers couldn’t hate you more, some have really interesting stories and tell you about the city. Subways are actually not as bad as movies make them out to be. The trains are loud, but the people are quiet. I actually got sit on the subway once out the entire week I was there. Make sure you have something to hold on too if you’re not sitting, cuz you will fall down. I didn’t have a single negative experience while I was there. I think the only negative thing I experienced was my friend getting shit on by a pigeon.

NYC was a great place... Currently sitting on my Manhattan balcony listening to this, but it feels sort of sad because the city is sort of a ghost town. It is slowly coming back though.
