I swear all these new hair style techniques make me so proud to be a black woman and other black women. Like... we are so unique, so smart. I don't give a damn if people call us ghetto for wearing weave and braids because they're the same ones to wear it the week after. We are truly beautiful. #blackgirlmagic

*F*A*Q* Hey yall so I'm seeing a lot of repeat questions, so I figured I'd do a little FAQ Q: How do I take this down? A: I'm filming a takedown video in the next couple of days so be on the lookout for that. but basically you have 2 options: 1) unbraid the crochet braid to release your real hair or 2) pull your real hair out of the braid ( if you can see it clearly ) After you have released your real hair then you can either "reverse crochet" the braid out of your hair OR you can cut the knot of the crochet braid and then it will just fall out. Q: will this work for long hair? A: YES! there is no reason why it should work for long hair. just use a crochet braid that is longer than your real hair. i.e if your hair is bra strap length then use crochet braids that are 20" or longer. You just have to weave your real hair through the crochet braid longer than i did. You just keep weaving in and out, up and down, until you have run out of real hair to grab. Q: can i use rubberbands? A: yes! you can use rubberband to make very nice, neat parts. Just make sure you leave A LITTLE room for the crochet braid to be able to slide under the rubberband. you can leave ur hair loose OR braid your hair after the rubberband. I recommend braiding the hair, instead of leaving it loose because of the flyaways popping out of the crochet braid if you leave the hair loose. It would look better though, if you left the hair loose, because it would really be undetectable. it's up to you. A few people have asked me if i would make a video showcasing this technique using rubberbands and I have to say no. Personally, I am not comfortable using rubberbands on my dry, damaged, brittle, transitioning hair. Q: How long does this last? A: I can't speak from experience. ****Only Estimations*** This is my first time doing this on box braids. I am on day 3 and the crochet braids are still tight (comfortably) on my roots. There ar no signs AT ALL of the crochet braids "slipping out". My real hair has not popped out of the braids, AT ALL. Not even little flyaways. I feel confident enough to give this style an estimated time of 4-6 weeks before you wanna take this out. the factors that will contribute to making this last longer or shorter include - new growth, crochet braid quality, frizziness of real hair, ends of real hair coming undone from the braids. Thanks yall for all the love on this video! And it's only the FIRST 48 ( Migos Voice) HOURS like OMG!
