Great reaction my friend. And you're right, her grandmother Mery started her on this journey back in the crib. Listening to fantastic Jazz singers like Etta, James, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, and the great Frank Sinatra back in the day when she was just 2 years old. This is Jazz and it's engrained in her DNA now it comes out in a lot of her vocals but she can sing anything. She can sing the phone book and sound fantastic. Angelina has over 300 covers and originals in her last 10 years of recording music on video and live performances. She's known as the queen of jazz, the girl with a thousand voices and the barefoot princess to all our fans who are known as Angels. Have a look at it. Some of her later stuff and I guarantee you will be totally amazed too. But her young stuff really blows everybody out of the park. The visual does not add up to the audio for sure. Have my own opinion of this, MSM industry including Republic, owned by UMG are all about money, not artists. Turn on the radio or watch one of their "award" shows to get the big picture. With the technology that exists now, the mixing, production AUTO Tune, and now AI they can simply create singers (not artists) in their "music labs" so to speak, add some skimpy revealing outfits, lots of dancers and backup singers and like magic, a star is born and current generations just eat it up and get reeled in, hook, line, and sinker. With few exceptions, music artistry is going away, succumbing to digitally created mostly crap....that makes millions for these companies. True Artists, like Angelina will be just fine in the long run, very smart move by her and her family to get away from these people, they were doing nothing for her anyway. Toby Gad started his own label for this very reason and my hope is Angelina sticks with him. This is MHO!
