Hi! This was Band Maid's' first video on KZbin' in 2015.. They almost broke-up' at that time,.. Then this Video took-off! Miku' AKA 'Pigeon'.. The Rythem guitarist with the Pony-tails' worked in a Maid-themed' Coffee house, in Tokyo',.. and wanted to start a band after her interest in music started very young.. She sings, but wanted someone with more 'Punch' to her voice.. And, in 2013,.. Saiki' the Lead singer' was the last to join the band. All of these girls are in their mid' to late 20's'.. very talented and dedicated to their Craft. Love them! Great reaction! Have you ever heard of JINJER' or INFECTED RAIN? These two bands will 'Blow your socks off'!!

Welcome down the rabbit hole that is Band-Maid. As you've probably read by now this is the group's first music video and have improved since then. As far as song recommendations goes any fan will tell you to check out the live version of any song they do like: Play, Cross, Domination, and Freedom. If you prefer just music videos then I would say: Dice, Don't You Tell Me, Daydreaming, Secret My Lips, Alone, Non-Fiction Days, Blooming and Rinne ( I'm sure fans will have more recommendations). The band's concept comes from Miku (the girl with the pigtails that plays guitar and does backup vocals) who used to work in a Maid Cafe in Japan. The ladies put on the costumes and provide the music as a "service". The image serves as a contrast to the rock music performed. They refer to their male fans as "Master" and their female fans as "Princess". Their fan base is steadily increasing. Thank you for checking these ladies out.

The maid outfits are what are called the "Gap". The gap being what you see demure maids vs what you hear Hard Rock. Thrill was their breakout video, it got 2 million views in 2 weeks after release. When they looked into where the views were from. They found a major percentage of the views were from Europe and the US. And they were off, in 2019 they played 5 sold-out concerts in the US. Just think you have Lovebites, Aldious, Mary's Blood, and for real "what the heck" Babymetal to go for Japanese ladies.

Please take a look at BAND-MAIKO.　secret MAIKO lips　bandmaid.tokyo/movies/22265 BAND-MAIKO is a band-made April Fools band. They wear Japanese Maiko costumes. The feature is that the back belt is stretched for a long time. It doesn't do it except maiko. In this song, the lyrics have become a dialect of Kyoto and a Japanese musical instrument (shamisen) has been added.

Oh Jazzy, this is just a small peek at what Band-Maid can do. They are amazing! Take the vocal powers of Joan Jett and Pat Benetar mixed with the instrumentals of Van Halen and Carlos Santana, but presented by attractive young ladies in maid outfits. The live performances are where it's at with this band. Another suggestion is a band that created their own genre by fusing the JPop (kpop) style with heavy metal called Babymetal. I recommend watching Babymetal Karate official video first and then they too are amazing live. Band-Maid and Babymetal are the best things coming out of Japan that I personally have found. Enjoy the ride!

Music has no borders or barriers of thought. Good things are good. I think that this reaction has the power to convey the charm to those who did not know the Band Maid at all. If you listen to a band-made song, you will definitely love it. Band Maid make women-only places in Japan to make it easy for women to go live.
