Even JYP himself have experience about his song being rejected. So, it's something normal that could happen in work place, just like what Youngjae's said "That's life". So, no need to take it on your heart and getting butthurt about that and calling Got7's old song are bad. And it seems that JYP already on bad mood when they can't connect to speaker 😅 Maybe it does affect the review (I am a teacher too, and sometimes I'm like that too. That's reflect, sometimes, it is something that can't control 😅 Especially when you have a lot of work to do). And he is not entirely hate the songs. He like the 2nd and the 3rd. He just need it upgrade that he think the song will be a lot better. And it is his personal opinion.

I don’t want to sound rude but... JYP is good at making catchy songs and that’s it. Music is way more than how many albums you can sell. I’m glad to see that during this show JB fought to keep his unique sound into the song he was trying to compose but it worries me that they (got7) have to please JYP with each song. I don’t think the point is giving the public (Korean public in this specific case) what they want to hear but instead, what they need to hear, that’s the powerful characteristic of music, it can reach further than many other things. I’ve been following Got7’s music for the past year and I’ve seen them growing musically and that’s amazing but I think it’s time for them to start working deeper in more important topics with their music than “baby, I love you, baby”. Like with JJ Project Verse 2, I was happy to see many people writing “this album helped me so much” “I was having difficult times but this encouraged me”. Don’t get me wrong, I totally love songs like Teenager, Look, Moon U, musically speaking their songs are amazing but they can do more than that. They want to help people through their music, they have said so, and I hope they won’t feel limited by this industry standards or their agency. I hope they can be musicians that can help their society to heal and improve.

I think it's because Day6 isn't the traditional boy group, they're an actual band. All the songs and groups that were included in the video were popular songs or most famous by each group and some not all were written by JYP. The same goes for stray kids as they're a new group, so they're not too popular yet.

jollydiggernick yes i agree with what jyp said about how jb should make music to appeal koreans, but MY point was that jyp should’ve told JB his songs did sound good. as you could tell, artists in the music industry are being forced to make music that doesn’t fit them more rather than making songs that they like in their own style. i believe jb should do both but he should not leave his style in music for people instead of himself. i hope this makes sense.

What worry me the most is when fans think badly about JYP.... JB asked his opinions and he is free to let it out his opinions... Besides as JYPEstan,,, even their idols have chances to reject any song written by JYP if they dont feel it is suited them... When GOT7 choose to actively producing their albums,,, JYP support them so well... He didn't say it is not good it just saying that there are elements that too commons among idols... About he said being too foreign,,, for international fans,, of course we said no problems with that... But arent international fans also said Korean sleeping on GOT7??? Opinions are right for everyone... JYP didn't said all of it doesn't good... If you think positively,,, he pointed out what JB might missed while composing his songs... All JB should do is do improvisation on those songs... GOT7 is a wonderful groups but to compete with other kpop groups,,, they might have wow X-factor to be different with other groups so they have higher values in kpop... plus, JYP never said JB or GOT7 didn't good enough or something but he said they can do more... If we keep being satisfied and rejecting opinions,,, we will tend to lose the will the improve ourselves... And I really wish any JYPE's idols' fans stop hating JYP without solid reasons or hating him,, critics him for few things you saw... And JYP is not only business man... He is musician... And nothing is wrong for a musician to give some advice or critics to another musician...

I actually thought all three songs were bops. Each song had their own style and that’s one of the things I love about JB. He combines many genres into just one song. But I understood why JYP was so harsh on the music. GOT7 fanbase is mostly international fans, though a very low audience when it comes to Koreans. The whole point of this was for JYP to tell JB that he needs to music that will attract the Korean public. That’s basically the only way they can be big in Korea.

He was merely giving him the constructive criticisms from a producer and listener's POV which was precisely what JB was asking for by his act of approaching JYP. JYP gave JB a good and constructive criticism. I kinda agree with him when he mentioned the way they make music nowadays. Sometimes it's all about the beat. Then the artist will just throw the lyrics just to complete the song. JYP has been in the industry even before these kids were born. He already knows everything about the Korean music industry. He knows what's right and what is wrong. I like that he's still hands on with his artist and tell them what are the thing that they need to know. I just hope that JB's joking when he said that his songs can beat JYP's. I also hope JB knows that in order to become a true Master of a craft, one must be an eternal student. JYP is still making music until now and still learning. He's still trying to adapt and create songs for his artists, where in fact, he can just sit in his office and let his people to their job. JB is my bias & the more I learn of him I know his musical interest & the type of music HE JAEBUM likes , wants , makes is more R&B . JYP is a master producer of Korean music & that’s his main audience , I don’t think any of Jb’s song were bad but they aren’t typical Korean music despite him singing in Korean just like what JYP said . JaeBum has stated on several occasions that he likes D’angelo & Chaka Khan , he always uses D’angelo as a music inspiration for the type of music he wants to make . I feel like his growth as an artist is stunted slightly because he’s a “ kpop “ idol & under a label that sticks to more of the Korean tradition music wise . If your a fan of Jb himself ( not to diss the other boys because I love them all ) he clearly doesn’t want to be a strictly Korean artist although he has yet to actually say it but when he talks about influences & his music it’s obvious he wants to make more western/ black people r&b ( in the states ) genre of music . Lol he definitely has a black person’s music ear ( as well as JinYoung) he listens to a lot of old school r&b , I think he’ll eventually branch out & will be able to make the music HE wants but as long as he’s under JYP he might not be able to put his more black themed r&b music out on a big platform like he wants . I will say there’s a couple of songs he’s made for Got7 that JYP did approve that sound like what Jb wants but it’s leaning more towards the Korean sound to please JYP

This is why i like other companies like cube and big hit, they freakin let their idols create the songs and to let them grow. Jyp like novelty, addictive songs and though those are great, experiencing other type of genres is good too. I felt a bit bad when jyp was making all these noises when they wete setting it up, jb looked so nervous. Tsk tsk keep on doing whay u love jb.
