I used to patronize this stall very often before the pandemic. Always ordered the black version of the wanton noodles for myself, and the white version for my wife. The lady boss was always very nice, and the noodles she cooked was one of the best in JB. Haven't been there for close to 3 years, good to know that her stall survived through the pandemic. This is one of the must try stalls for me once I have the chance to go back to JB. Though I would never miss the smell of the exposed drains at this place if I had to sit outside, so whoever goes there to eat the wanton noodles, try to sit inside the coffeeshop if you want to avoid the smell of the drain outside mixing with the flavors of the food!

PP ? diversifying to be 007!!, I was on London tube years ago, understood all the nitty gritty of this tourist family's juicy family politics. They looked like Japanese tourists but spoke Hakka which I understand but not speak. BTW months ago had the worse 'Singapore chicken rice', extremely small portion with mainly fat, skin, bones, tasteless rice for £17, a bowl 'fried' rice colored very dark brown with black s sauce, a plate sweet/sour prawns, mainly onions/cube pineapple, 2 half lagers came to £60!!!, NEVER go again, was at Bugis Street Bistro at a hotel near Gloucester road tube,. London, Piccadilly line.

There's a very famous KL pork noodles Sam Kan Chong that has opened in Chinatown hawker centre red zone. You should try it. The owner import their famous pork rectangles and sausages from KL weekly. Very authentic only if they have the typical pickled green chili or fresh small green chili would be best. My father's favourite since he was a kid growing up in KL.

Try not to add soup into dry noodles. It will dilute the sauce and taste🙈I always silently shout argh when I see people do that. It's supposed to be dry noodles mah😂My father shakes his head too if he sees it. If I see vendors adding soup to a dry noodles order I won't order from them usually🤣That's the difference between Malaysia and Singapore lol.

I'm surprised Piggy. You ordered food BEFORE you had taken a good hit of caffeine. I find it hard enough to recognize those blobby wriggly things as humans before I take in some caffeine, little own communicate my culinary desires to them. How are you sure you're not talking with a McDonald's employee or a plank of wood in your pre-caffeine state? Hey, I saw such a great deal on the Singapore Airlines site I have already booked for early next year. Would you believe that a Melbourne to Singapore, Singapore to KL and then Penang to Melbourne flight was $300 cheaper that a Melbourne to Singapore return? Even better, the return MEL to SIN flight was 20% cheaper than pre-Covid days. SA must be trying to rebuild their business or something .In contrast, Qantas seems to have given up entirely. They won't even answer your calls the days.

BTW never drink coffee before, immediately after (wait at least half hour,) meal cos it kills the vitamin B12 which is important for making red blood cells, preventing anaemia/other symptoms.
