After cutting my HPFP line slightly too short and ordering and installing a new one from JB Tuned, I can now say with confidence that the HPFP-side fuel line should be right around 15 inches from the end of the clip that plugs into the Ethanol sensor to the other end of the line that plugs into the HPFP.

Why 15inch??

@@ThiagoFreitasBr Assuming that the hard line to sensor side line is a standard size coming from JB Tuned, then 15" on the other side's line (+ the width of the sensor that sits in the middle) will give you the right amount of slack to place the sensor in a good place between the plastic tab fuel line holders that come up off the intake manifold (You will probably still have to trim 2 of them so the Eth sensor sits flush. Also you want to leave some slack in the line to account for engine movement. It rocks back and forth when you shift and engine break. You don't want it tugging the line off a hard line nipple. Really I would say, eyeball it and do what works best for you, just don't cut it too short like I did 👍🏻

@@Kevin_MK7RSR Nice bro, you answer just what I think that would be the cause, I am doing my setup next week and will fix my fuel it close to my water bottle, so it will stay stable and the line can work with more facility, thanks for advice. C'monn

@@ThiagoFreitasBr If you fix it to the Coolant bottle, just make sure there is enough flex. Have a friend rev the engine while you check it out. Also, FYI, I trimmed off the two inner fuel line mounting tabs on the intake manifold and kept the outers. You can use tin snips, or a dremel cutter tool (Dremel is better). The outer tabs are enough to hold the line in place and allows enough room for the eth sensor to sit on the left-ish side of the manifold.

I would of went with the Precision Raceworks Flex fuel line kit and AN6 Fuel line upgrade kit really easy to install and perfect fit and no crimping!
@Kevin_MK7RSR3 жыл бұрын
I would take anything over the Fuel-It lines, but I prefer the JBtuned lines. Their kit comes with 2 lines. Both sides of the sensor you will need - From the Hard line in the back to the sensor, and then fro the sensor to the HPFP. The PRW Kit only seems to have one line... precisionraceworks.com/products/mk7-flex-fuel-upgrade-for-ptfe-lines

That quick connect that clicks on to the steel barb by the evap line is that 3/8” or 5/16” to 6an?
@Kevin_MK7RSR3 жыл бұрын
Not sure, but if you check the kit for the MK7 Golf GTI / R it might list the size.

@@Kevin_MK7RSR kit doesn’t say but in the video it looks the same as the 3/8” vibrant you bought for the analyzer. Did you by any chance notice if they’re interchangeable?

@@stevebbkny2394 Hey, sorry, not sure what you mean by "The 3/8 Vibrant", I only got lines from JB Tuned.

Hey man, so I recently asked a question on the eqt fb page about my fuel line slipping off and you had recommended this kit, I want to get it but the problem is that the previous owner I think broke the two little clips that need to be compressed to get that fuel line elbow off, do I you know how I could get it off?
@Kevin_MK7RSR3 жыл бұрын
Hey, ya, I broke a clip too but still managed to get it off. You just need to do what I mention in the video and compress both sides in (Despite the clips being broken), and push it down first, and then yank it up. If it doesn't come off the first time, just jam it up and down with a tool pressing in those sections. 👍🏻
