I would only "argue" where you say the camera work isn't fancy. Maybe I don't follow what "fancy" means to you. Personally, the recent video with camera capturing the undercarriage and then suspension... How the camera will pan from trail shots to stunning vistas... Where the shot angle captures how with lockers and e-brake he can get Trailmater to pivot around impossible corners... I would say that anyone could watch any of his videos with the audio muted and still get a great video. (I am a camera nerd, so really appreciate when someone's videography is more than just a documentary recording.) But I wholeheartedly agree, "real" and "pure talent" are the two best descriptors for this channel.

I may be speaking out of turn here, but I believe what Stone Cold meant by, camera work, was that this channel does not "hollywood up" the videos with a lot of unnecessary editing and graphics work. You know, the distracting, time wasting stuff that gets annoying after a while. Just good straight forward camera angles and great content. At least that is how I took it.

In my younger years I remember one night driving my NOVA over a speed bump and scraped the 7 quart pan... Lost all the oil and my 3 passengers scattered home leaving me by myself at 3am.. Found a 24 hr grocery store and bought some JB weld and 7 quarts of cheap oil to get me home... JB weld is only a temporary fix... The best night of my life because I found out who my real friends were... And it wasn't them..!!!!

JB Weld is no joke ... had a P0442 fault code on EMS of 2003 Tacoma. Took 2 weeks of troubleshooting (when I could) to find it. Turned out to be rollover valve on top of fuel tank had a hairline crack at the seam. Lifted bed, pulled it and JB welded it knowing I was going to order a new one. Guess what ... 8 years later it's still good to go no defects noted!

I had a rock bust a hole in a ATV side cover and break off the magneto while on a riding trip..fixed both the mag boss and the hole with JB two part. I rode the atv all over the US and sold it to my buddy in the middle 90’s .. he’s still riding it in ‘22 with the same 35 year old JB Weld! I never go wheeling/riding without some 2 part epoxy .. it’s nasty stuff but has saved the day more than once. Rory , that two step repair was well done and showed you’ve been around the block a time or ten!

years ago i punched a hole in the clutch cover on my dirt bike, it had magnesium cases, the bike was so new that getting a replacement case would have been nearly impossible, I covered the hole with JB weld and let it set over night. I painted the case the next day and went riding, I never did replace the cover, 25 years later still the same repair and it never gave up. It never leaked oil or showed any signs of breaking down. you could not even tell that the case had ever been repaired.

It reminds me of a time I was with some friends on a fishing trip at Strawberry Res in my old Dodge van. I drove over a cattle grate that was missing a bar or two. I swear my rear wheels came off the ground by the jolt, and my fan cut into my radiator. By the time I got to camp my engine was super hot. One friend had a tube of silicone and I packed it into the damaged area of the radiator, and filled it with stream water. It held for about 4 years. Bailing wire, Silicone, Duct-tape, JB weld, a bucket and a few other things will get you home.

Good trail fix. That epoxy stuff is handy. I was on the Alcan 5000 rally in 2006 when a rider fell off his airhead and bashed a rock with one of the rocker covers making a pretty big hole. Back at the overnight in Whitehorse, we rounded up a bunch of putty epoxy, made a patch out of a beer can, and epoxied it on. The rider rode the bike fixed like that for at least a 1000 miles more.

Hahaha! It wasn't clickbait, but having "JB Weld" in the title of an advanced welders KZbin channel definitely caught my eye!! 😅 On my way to work, I once dropped my motorcycle when I put my kickstand down on soft hot asphalt. The gear shifter bent in and broke the crankcase plate. I was 35 mi away from home but in the parking lot of a hardware store. During my lunch break, I pulled the case plate off with one tool then JB Weld glued the hole. It hardened by the end of my work shift. Filled it with oil and I was able to drive it to the motorcycle shop and bought a new crankcase plate. Bam! Done. JB "Weld" glue annoys me to no end in my restoration shop I feel like half my day is grinding off JB weld and scraping off silicone from "Harry homeowner" fixes.

Rory fixes his own trailer flat tire due to a leaking valve stem in the parking lot with his own hands, tools and super-awesome-well-equipped-rescue-tow-truck...then he makes a more-than-adequate, temporary, poor-man's, trail-repair (which would have lasted for weeks more than likely until the Jeep was due for it's next oil change)...THEN he expertly and inexpensively repairs the broken oil pan to better and stronger than new the next day. Does anyone WONDER why people love watching, listening to and learning from such a capable, common-sense, jack-of-all-trades, automotive design, repair and upgrade guy like him? Keep it real Rory, be you and do you, real is real good...no need for any fake, filler, fluff in your videos brother. ;)

IN 2014 I DID AN LS SWAP ON MY 72 OLDS CUTLASS I LIVED IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA AT THE TIME. I DROVE IT ON A TRIP TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ON THE LAST DAY OF RETURNING BACK HOME I WENT OVER SOME TRAIN TRACKS TO FAST AN BUMPED THE OIL PAN IT CRACKED IN THE CORNER (I USED THE STOCK TRUCK OIL PAN). LUCKILY I COASTED ABOUT TO SIDE NEXT TO A CHEAP HOTEL AND A PEPBOYS ABOUT 5 MILES AWAY. I USED THAT JB WELD PUDDY TO PATCH UP THE CRACK THE NEXT DAY. I LET IT SIT FOR A COUPLE HOURS , I ADDED MY OIL IT HELD AND WAS GONE DROVE 7 HOURS BACK UP NORTH WITH NO PROBLEM. I DID CHANGE THE OIL PAN TO A CORVETTE STYLE. THAT JB WELD PUDDY IS A LIFE SAVER.

Several years ago a church member pulled into the parking lot at church with his wife and grandchildren. He got out and walked around the car and then i saw all the kids chewing on gum as fast as they could. He had hit something on the road and knocked a hole in the gas tank and gas was draining out the hole. After the kids had chewed the gum for a few minutes, they gave it to him and he rolled it together and patched the tank with the gas leaking out. It worked because the leak stopped. Don't know for how long. It was one of the k cars that lee iacocca designed that were junk when they were made.

@@robweberphoto My answer is M134 minigun with few metric tons of ammo to it. And then you get all friends you need, and lots of enemies too.

Back in the l 1997 while a welder for a trucking heavy equipment rental company I use JB-Weld to fix a cracked gas tank/ steps on a 20 ton international flat bed truck. Patch was still there when I left the company 2 years later. A little black spray paint after sanding you didn't know it was there. 😀 Good video. Side note: engineers on ship and salvage divers use a machinable 2 part epoxy 100,000 lbs breaking strength to repair cracks in saltwater intake cooling plumbing and discharge piping salvage divers use chicken wire under water blooping smearing the mix on the side of ships to seal holes from rocks as big as you are. Been there done that Deff con 4 is the name of memory servers from my small vessels captain days / scuba diving years 1980s-1990s
