1992: Notre Dame vs. Penn State

The Snow Bowl. The ND Fighting Irish win 17-16 against the PSU Nittany Lions in one of college football's most memorable match-ups.

I think sometimes good teams play down to lesser teams while the lesser team is giving it their all. ND thinks “cupcake game. Easy W” while Stanford thinks “this is THE game of our lives”

I still hate watching this game as a Penn State die hard fan, but have to admit this was an amazing finish!!! We did thump them the year before in Happy Valley though? Lol

Read the book that was written about Bill Walsh's brief return to Stanford (1992-94). Notre Dame was running very vanilla schemes on both sides of the ball and Walsh just cut them to pieces; he had a veteran team that year that could execute his complicated offense. He did the same thing to Penn State at the end of the season in a bowl game. (Then lost all those seniors at Stanford and got his head handed to him in 1993 and 1994.)

when you play this game with ps2 using ncaa 2006 on heisman mode, penn states defense is ridiculous, the second you drop back with nd's qb the right d end is in your face, its frustrating, but you can stuff them pretty easy with notre dames defense, if your not making the right choice on every play your gonna lose.............usless info but try it, you can even put the snow on the field
