They are nice trucks. I think the ZR2 is better looking though. As far as the price goes. Well it’s crazy to think we are at 100k for loaded diesels but here we are. If it’s what you want and you can pay for it, then may as well get it.

For me, the elimination of the bronze fog light valences means one less thing to replace/paint. I'm ordering a '25 just after the first of the year and will have the grill removed and painted black, replace the fender badges with a black and red ones, replace the emblems with black, and powder coat the wheels black. I'm happy they saved me a small amount of work... If you were saying 6'10" for height to the top of the antenna - I have it at 82 3/4" inches (so closer to 6'11"). I just measured a 2025 with a level at the top of the antenna and a laser measuring device...FWIW.

I bout that new 8100v8 back in 2002 man was that a FUN truck.. I BELIEVE IT WAS A ALLISON 4 SPEED. BOY THAT USED TO SCEEM THROUGH THE GEARS. 😊

The Biggest change IMO is the sunroof sunshade. They cheaped out and no longer wrap it in suede for 2025 as they did on the 2024 model. JB did you notice that? How hard could it be to change that out?!

The seats take time to "break in". When I first purchase my 22 2500 Denali I thought they were stiff but I've put 73k on my truck and lots of road trips. My back never hurt after long driving.

The Alison transmission does have problems with the valve bodies.And they are three months out on back order.

Hi JB thanks for the great reviews, I'm in Utah too and yours are especially helpful. Trying to decide between AT4x and ZR2 and I keep getting hung up on the shifter being in the way of the screen on the AT4X which I generally like better. How much of an issue has that been? I did see they have an aftermarket shifter now that can be installed that helps a lot but doesn't solve the problem. I do like the ZR2 center stack better but prefer the AT4X overall. Was curious of your thoughts on the shifter having lived with it for a while. Thanks again! Great reviews!

It's a ZR2 equivalent for GMC, the suspension is much softer and more off-road geared than a regular AT4. Also why they don't offer it with the long bed. Don't get me wrong, a long bed 3500 AT4X is a dream truck for me but I don't see them doing it.

You dont think these ride smoother with the DSSV Mulitmatic suspension? Other reviewers say the Chevy 2500 ZR2 rides really smooth for a HD. Thanks!

Plus one more thing as we know these trucks are very tall. I don’t understand how come they don’t have button like European cars for camera when you have to park that you don’t have to go through all that trouble on your screen.

I just bought a 2024 just like yours. Do you know if they have HD Radio in these? My 2019 AT4 had HD Radio, but I can’t find out how to get the HD channels in my new truck.

@@darrenkiehn6165 it’s just a heater plug the cord comes in the glove box. It has to be really cold for it to come on when plugged in. It is a waste of time to plug them in in the south.

The trailer brakes should be on the dash so the cup holder wouldn't be sideways. Looks weird, chevy has a much better look and interior.

It's a beautiful truck; however, at that price point, they can keep it. I've been upgrading with new every few years over the past 40 years. That's over for me, I may never buy another new vehicle again. I'm currently in the market for a pre-2010 that I will have stripped to the last bolt and rebuilt to my liking. I don't care if it costs as much or even more; I can afford it. I refuse to spend my money on the lack of product and quality.

The factory suspension level, as most levels, have less than desirable geometry angles. The trailer brake location is also not great, much prefer the Silverado location. Nice truck, but for the money I’d rather get a lower trim and put the money towards a 3500 SRW with a 4k lb payload, Cognito 4inch, 37s, and blacked out badging.

The front locker will only engage in 4L in the 1500. I recently swapped from a 1500 to a 2500. I don't miss the front locker. It just didn't add enough utility being unusable most of the time.
