I have found a few nickel with my detector but the date and mint mark has worn off.?? What can be done to see the date.?????

I only knew about the one. But I'm not surprised that there are many more years with Leg issues.

whenever I see Buffalo Nickels it takes me back to the mid 70s where as a kid I had about 20 or so of them I had collected from relatives etc... anyways I put them in a couple zip lock style baggies doubled up and then put that in a small foldgers can, duct taped it like crazy and buried it in our back yard about a foot below ground......I suspect they are still right where I left them now 45+ years later.. When we movied out in 1980 I totally forgot to get them and didn't remember for a few years as I had moved on to skateboards and bmx bikes in the late 70s

Oh S??t I got that one. I toke it to a coin place they told me it was worth $50. I kept it any ways just because of the age

My Nicole is so worn! I haven't pulled it out in years, and I think the date is worn off. Not sure about the legs. I need to look at it again!
