Good video ! I got two BB3 to throw in the backseat to replace my car stereo system. I wanted to get a smaller speaker to put on the front dash so that the music surrounds me. I was thinking about either getting a C5 or an X3 to partyboost with the two BB3 in the backseat. Do you think adding a 3rd speaker in the front for the car is overkill ??????

When connected in party mode, the bigger speakers like the Boombox 3 won't be playing louder than the Charge 5 or Flip 6? The speakers sounded the same (a bit flat IMO) in your backyard party mode sound test and I know JBL has good sound and bass (products vary). I'm just wondering if their party mode is more like the sound of the last song at a party.

I’ve owned the Xtreme 3 for about a year and a half and I love it. Every time I go out with my friends they tell me to grab it. It BUMPS fs especially after activating the Bluetooth and minus button trick.

Battery Life is like MPG…so many factors seem to impact it. I did an experiment with AA batteries in 6th grade and the cheapest batteries won, despite Duracel and Energizer claiming twice the hours.

I have been more than happy with my Flip 6 the four months i've had it. I've taken it on several kayaking trips where it has been banged up, submerged in water, and still keeps on with the tunes. Most days though it sits in my garage and is used as my speaker when i'm working out. I charge it maybe once a week and that's only to top it off as it usually has plenty left before I start charging it.

Agree with what you say about the charge 5. Not about power, or necessarily about bass, though it still has about as much bass as your average bookshelf speaker. It is super clear, and quite neutral sounding. You hear every instrument through it.

I honestly love the JBL Go 3, it's literally what I need. I'm a onewheel rider(if you know what that is)and this little thing is perfect for me because of how light weight it is. The clip was my second chance but I went with the Go because of the price difference. Plus, it was on-sale for 40 bucks at best buy, can't beat that.

Just bought a charge 4 for about $100 from costco. The bass response(60hz spec'd, but test tone at 55hz is there) is amazing. Great value and you can get full spectrum sound at full "medium room" volume, if you tweak your cellphone sound equalizer a little. I just saw the specs on the charge 5, but it's a few more bucks and "no 3.5 audio jack". It has more sound power(40w/ch vs. 30w/ch on charge 4) plus a tweeter for more full range "as-is" but I think this is for the customer that want's a "loud" room volume which is subjective....now your sound volume & quality is pushing towards the "over priced" extreme 3 territory.

Have the original JBL Boombox (v1) and have loved it over the years. People gather around us at the beach but your right, it's pretty heavy, so heavy in fact the strap (has a built in handle too thank goodness) on the carrying case busted. Any clip on speakers can be used on a bicycle ride clip on to your backpack, messenger bag, etc. which I prefer instead of attaching it to my bicycle which you have ease/fast mount, stability of the mount or will your speaker on a mountain bike ride? Bicycle mounts for speaker (and cell phones too) are a whole other review.

What about the Latency in Flip 6? My main purpose will be video streaming on my iPhone 13 pro and MSI Modern Laptop. Should I go for the Flip 4 because it has Aux Port or the Flip 6 because it's have Bluetooth 5 and Type C?

To avoid delayed sound when you want to watch videos on smartphone, try to make sure to switch your bluetooth mode on the smartphone first, before you switch on the Flip 5. I also used to have latency problem with my charge 3, but connecting them this way solved the delayed sound problem.
