Actually I find them kind of useless. The volume levels are never matched, you don't know the quality of the microphones, the audio is processed/compressed by KZbin and who knows what you're listening to it through at the end user. I'm using decent quality over the ear Sennheiser headphones, but some people are probably listening to this over their smartphone speaker. LMAO.

If you haven't already, get a 2nd Soundcore Motion+ Getting a 2nd speaker splitting the channels lessens the strain on any one speaker, allowing you to push them harder with less chances of distortion from high volume. Having two working together like that gives you sound greater than the sum of their parts. It turns a $100 into a $200 investment, but there's no $200 speaker that can compete, and is likely going to out-perform any single-speaker option you can get until you start looking into the $300-$350 category or higher.

You're so right that they sound great, I have a pair too. But don't you also have the problem where the secondary speaker just cuts out very often? Many people have that issue and I've been looking for about 2 years for a fix, and didn't find anything. Did you get that too, did you fix it?

I feel the JBL’s deep bass and highs shines with rap and or dance/house, but the Soundcore’s clarity is better in general for music and their EQ is really nice. I suspect the quality of the drivers on the JBL isn’t much better than the Soundcore, just their EQ works wonders. Great vid as always! *reconsiders CHARGE5 opinion* :)

JBL Bluetooth speakers are strictly Monophonic based were Anker Bluetooth speakes are Stereophonic. It's for that reason I would buy an Anker speaker over a JBL speaker because If I'm going to buy something that is only Monophonic then I might as well just listen to Monophonic audio on AM radio.

Specifications to consider when deciding between the two: Motion Plus - stereo, better customisable eq, built in mic, aux input, 30 Watts, frequency response: 50 Hz - 40 kHz (Hi-Res). Charge 5 - JBL signature bass, mono, no mic, no aux in, 40 Watts, frequency response: 60 Hz - 20 kHz I like JBL bass for most of my music but the Motion+ is the more flexible speaker for all types of audio material in my opinion.

When I buy a Bluetooth speaker I go for Stereophonic over Monophonic. I bought the Anker Motion+ for the full range dual speaker Stereophonic sound quality that you can't get with JBL speakers.

There is a speaker break in period like a week or 2 of loud use to unstiffen the passive radiators and speakers, every bluetooth speaker and especially any car speakers/ subs that I've ever had sounds better after break in, kind of a fuller warmer sound imo.

I have both. I’ve tested both in personal. So i prefer charge 5 bcoz bass punch is nice and better sound quality and listening pleasurable. Whereas the motion plus also sometimes good sound.. bcoz of stereo. Finally, overall i perfer charge 5.

Oh yea it’s going to be hard to be the motion boom because the bass in that speaker is so strong and I believe it’s a bit louder as well but what I normally do with EQ is boost everything to max and slow pull each notch down slowly until your ears like that it hears. Find the sweet spot for your ears start with the bass first so pull down from left to right 👍.

On the M+ I have everything from 500 up half way up and everything under a few notches up ramping up to 500 and then a straight line with a few boost and dips where you feel it will sound better. So 500 up boost half way with a few tweaks that’s you feel sounds better.

If you spend money on speaker then you want to get the best value. Speaker having eq makes it have some room for improvement for the user if he wants some more bass or treble or mids not sacrificing volume of other frequency's. Soundcore motion series was made for makings it sound just like you want it. If i where to choose between speaker with and without eq that's a no brainer (even when speaker with eq is cheaper). If cheaper speaker sounds better then more expensive one using eq then what's the point of buying the more expensive one?

I have the motion plus and the battery life is much more then what the speaker advertise which is very rare as I easily able to get 5 to 6 hours at max volume, to over 14 hours at 50% volume and about 11 to 12 hours at 80% volume, it does float in water and the aux cable is pretty damn good and the app for it is 10/10

JBL is maybe better in terms of bass and maybe slightly better overall sound. However, I can use the Motion plus for gaming, JBL you really cant cause it doesnt have an aux port and bluetooth gaming is not recommended. Motionplus for me has done a good job as a monitor speaker.

true, the mids are more forward and the bass is a lot cleaner on the jbl. i own a soundcore motion plus tho, the form factor is extremely convenient for my use, i use it on in my car dashboard daily.

Problem is I was looking everywhere for a butooth speaker that has on board equalizer which can be saved to use with my Nintendo switch. Soundcore is the only one that does this, it can clearly play weapon sounds, footsteps, atmosphere with good custom eq. The jbl and other bt speakers are all bass focused which kills everything for the sake of bass. If anyone knows other blutooth speakers with onboard custom eq that can be saved in the speaker comment down Im still looking for the soundcore in my country as its sold out.

The problem I have with JBL Bluetooth speakers is they only come with a single internal Monophonic speaker were as Anker Bluetooth speakers come with internal dual Stereophonic speakers. For that reason I would buy Anker over JBL any old day.

JBL sounds better to me, that bass is super satisfying. Also not a fan of tweaking EQ settings which the soundcore would need to be on par with the JBL. If JBL charge 5 dropped it's price to 130 or even 150, then we are talking a night and day difference IMO.

For this I think I boosted the mids and high +2. But what I normally do on my speakers is boost all the EQs to max, turn the volume up on max and slowly start pulling the EQs down 1 by 1 for the sound you like. I start from left to right when pulling down bass first and end with Highs.

What I normally do bud is. Turn you speaker in 70-max and boost all the EQ all the way up and pull the all down one by one until you find the sound you want start with the bass side. I normally boost everyone +2 expect the bass

What I normally do bud is boost them all the way up with the song on full blast. And slowly pull on down one by one until I get the sound I like. Normal I got with a +2 on the high and +1 on mids and bass. Also depends on the speaker some need more boost in different places 👍

ahhh man for real that is crazy haha. But If you are into EQing a speaker to get that perfect sound soundcore motion plus. If you want something that's nice right out of the box JBL charge 5. If you don't mind something bigger like the size of the JBL Xtremes go with the W-King x10 like $115 and It slaps for real best value you will get from a speaker. comes with a strap as well but might be a little annoying to carry around even with the strap because the size.
