If you want to listen the song and enjoy the music go for Sony If you are looking a little boom box with lots of volume, limited bass and distortions at high volume go for JBL. All I can say is that Sony is for listening the music. JBL is for making other people know what are your listening

You are nothing but a Sony hater... The sony has a clear sound, good trebble, really nice bass. while the jbl sound like you put a speaker inside a long drink glass... Overal i think that smaller speakers up to the xtreme and xb4x speakers, are easy win for sony, but when you have the bigger speakers like boombox or partybox, jbl is your way to go. The biggest reason for Sony's small speakers that its a better choice than jbl's, is the equalizer function. Unfortunatly the equalizer doest help with the biggest sony speakers.

The Sony xe200 and 300 were terrible against the jbl flip 6 and charge 5 I bought them for myself and it sounds boxy and muffled that's why I sent them back to buy the flip 6 and charge 5

In person the XB13 & 100 smashes the clip. How can you say the XB100 sounds worse than the clip? When I listen to both the XB13 & 100 next to the clip, it makes the clip’s tinny sound signature blatantly obvious. Someone buying a mini speaker doesn’t want the high pitch screeching that the Clip offers, I guarantee if people are looking for clean easy listening they’d buy the Sony every time. Don’t get me wrong, there’s times when I want the flat profile and loudness of the Clip. But 99% of the time I grab my XB13 and now I’ve purchased 2 XB100’s and I love them. They rock. Plus the thrill of having that much clarity coming out of 2 mini coffee cups is amazing. Yes, I’m offended that you’d say the JBL is the winner. It’s just not the truth. If I were to conduct blindfolded trials with these 2 speakers, I promise the Sony box would be overwhelmingly ticked. But upon de-blindfolding, some would have an existential crisis, realizing they picked a Sony over their lord and savior JBL. They hear farts coming out of every speaker that is not a JBL. You could put a 7.2 professional Sony sound system around them and they would say the Clip sounds better.

This right here. Perfectly said lol. I love the clip 4 as well, but the Sony XB100 doesn't even sound like a mini speaker. It is impressively full bodied for its size. The clip4 sounds nice and loud and bright, BUT side by side to the Sony it does bring out the tinny sound on the clip 4. This guy obviously is just on the JBL fanboy train. JBL is great, but let's be real here lol.

Xb100 sounds balanced, pure and deeper then Clip 4. Clip 4 uses more highs because of the grill's logo.

@@pixelreflectorpro I have Charge 5 since 2021. I hate it, it sounds terrible. Ugly bass, fake voice, too much highs. Quality is poor. Battery holds on for 3 hours on 70% of volume. Many datails are broken without any reason. Plastic is cheap. So this is why i still prefer my Charge 3 GG.

Bought the clip 4 for cheap by chance, i love the smallness and loud volume and impressive battery and the abiity to clip to my jeans. Even if the sony is better, I'd prefer the clip 4 over it for the versatility

i got the charge 5 and thats great, clip 5 would most likely be great to take outside. never really liked the volume too loud which is why my charge 5 is on low volume and it last hours. used it as a ipad speaker and tv speaker today and well its shocking how it sounds the same as my soundbar but its smaller.

To be more than fair, he gave the clip 4 a handicap with the 75% volume and yet it was still hanging in there, so yeah. Plus the xb100 is a taller speaker so it has more room to sound more open.

@@pixelreflectorpro true on ur last statement, but also not true, as u can have a speaker be perfectly fine tuned, but put it in a big enough body it will sound tiny and wont be heard as perfect. The body is what helps to trap some of the air and use the trapped air to its advantage at making it sound full.

The clip4 is unusable by someone who is blind like myself. I have never heard of any bluetooth speaker that had little lights to show the amount of battery life. However, the clip 4 does such a thing. There is no way to tell what the battery life, is, not even on the home screen of my iPhone like every other speaker does. You can't even use the JBL app. That app tells me the life of my JBL headphones I have. I'll take the sony xb100 hands down. The sound is louder, and worlds better then the clip 4.
