I do like the clip just for its portability and sound quality for the size... never bought any of the onn stuff for reasons you stated in the beginning of this video... im loving the videos man, keep up the good work.

The onn is not to bad for the price considering I'm actually listening to this on a 5 dollar no name brand Bluetooth speaker picked up from the side of the Walmart cash register. I've had this lil shen zen dns 5 dollar speaker for 6 years and treated it like a dog while doin yard work and front porch sittin and it still kickin well. I bet the onn will hold up decent.

Would still tend to lean toward the something else for the audio quality but wouldn't hesitate to grab another one of these for the kids or a cheap backup or something. I feel like at times, brands like to charge for their name, but a lot of times it comes down to reputation and expertise, as well as staying power. Is the off brand going to be around in 5 years? You asked a lot of great questions, thanks for the video!

Thanks for watching! For sure and totally agree. There are costs associated with R&D, Marketing, Distribution, and so forth as well. The difference in price isn't always just markup but, as a customer, that's what we see the most. I like to see brands that actually have a high push for R&D and use that markup for bettering themselves and their products.

Curious about the longterm durability of the onn though. I've owned a couple of onn speakers and they've always had the usb charge port break and make them useless. And I dont mean after alot of use. This is like weeks into ownership. My flip has been going strong without issue for probably a year now.

I may go buy an el cheapo onn speaker just for my back porch/back yard. just for a little cheap option for music for outside. also playing classical music for my garden hahaha

Haha. Classical helps the garden grow! Maybe my next tests will be side by sides on if a garden grows better with an onn or a clip. See if the plants can tell the difference.

@AudioInsideScoop I actually read that not too long ago...it tricks plants into thinking it's morning because classical is typically played In the same key/frequency as birds chirping and that's a plants alarm clock essentially...

Thanks for watching! I expected JBL to win, yes. But even with the lose, I was surprised that the Onn performed as well as it did in the price point and felt as decent build wise as it did in the price point.
